Billy Ryan High School
Billy Ryan High School (Ryan or RHS) is a public high school located in east Denton, Texas. It is the second high school of the Denton Independent School District and classified as a 5A school by the UIL. The original building for the school was built in 1991 and was followed with an expansions in 1994, 2006, and 2008/2009 that added more space for the pre-existing technology and fine arts programs. Billy Ryan High School's cross district rivals are Denton High School and Guyer High School, along with the newly opened Braswell High School and the schools compete annually in various events but most notably, the annual football game named "Battle of The Volt" against Denton High, the "Crosstown Showdown" against Guyer High, and the yet unnamed competition against Braswell High. Little Elm, Texas
Little Elm is a city in Denton County, Texas, United States, and a part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. It is an extended suburb of Denton; its population was 46,453 as of the 2020 census. In 2000, the census population was at 3,646. By the 2010 census, the city total had jumped to 25,898, making Little Elm one of the fastest-growing municipalities by percentage in Texas since 2000. Jarvis Jaray Moss (born August 3, 1984) is a former college and professional American football player who was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for five seasons. He played college football for the University of Florida, received All-American honors, and was a member of a BCS National Championship team in 2006. Brian Smith (defensive End)
Brian Smith (born September 16, 1983) is a former American football defensive end. He was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Missouri. Early years Brian Smith graduated from Billy Ryan High School in Denton, Texas in 2002. He was named Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and senior. He was a two-time All-State selection and led the team to the state championship in 2001 under head coach Joey Florence. Smith recorded 160 tackles and 35 sacks as a senior. Bands of America (BOA) is a music education advocacy organization and promoter of high school marching band competitions in the United States, such as the annual Grand National Championships. Established in 1975 as Marching Bands of America (MBA), founder Larry McCormick's goal was to provide educational opportunities for music students nationwide.
