Billy McShepard
Billy McShepard (born August 10, 1987) is an American professional basketball player for Maccabi Ashdod B.C. of the Liga Leumit (basketball), Israeli National League. He played college basketball for Louisburg College and Valdosta State Blazers men's basketball, Valdosta State. Early life and college career McShepard attended Bertie High School in Windsor, North Carolina. He played college basketball for Louisburg College and Valdosta State Blazers men's basketball, Valdosta State. In his senior year at Valdosta State, he averaged 9.8 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1 block per game. Professional career On August 3, 2016, McShepard signed a one-year deal with Ironi Nes Ziona B.C., Ironi Nes Ziona. In 18 games played for Nes Ziona, he averaged 14.1 points, 9.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game. The power forward (PF), also known as the four or strong forward, is a Basketball position, position in basketball. Power forwards play a role similar to center (basketball), centers. Liga Leumit (basketball)
Liga Leumit ( he, ליגה לאומית, lit. ''National League'') is the second tier level league of basketball competition in Israel. It is the league level that is below the first tier Israeli Premier League. League system The league contains 15 clubs that compete in a home-and-away round-robin. At the end of the season, the top eight clubs advance to the play-offs. The first round is played on a best-of-three basis. The four winning clubs advance to two best-of-five playoffs, the winners of which are promoted to the Super League. The two teams that finish at the bottom of the table are relegated to Liga Artzit.
