Bill Phillips (January 28, 1936 – August 23, 2010) was an American country music singer. He was born in Canton, North Carolina, and his professional music career started with the Old Southern Jamboree on WMIL in Miami in 1955. He moved to Nashville in 1957 and worked with Johnnie Wright and Kitty Wells until the late 1970s. His biggest recording was entitled "Put It Off Until Tomorrow" which peaked on the country charts at No. 6 on April 2, 1966. William Nathaniel Phillips (born September 23, 1964) is an American entrepreneur and author. He wrote '' Body for Life: 12 Weeks to Mental and Physical Strength'' with Mike D'Orso. He is also the author of ''Eating for Life'' and the founder and former editor in chief of ''Muscle Media'' magazine and the former CEO of EAS, a performance nutritional supplement company. The fourteenth series of '' Geordie Shore'', a British television programme based in Newcastle upon Tyne, was confirmed on 31 October 2016 when cast member Scotty T announced that he would be taking a break from the series to focus on other commitments. The series was filmed in November 2016, and began airing on 28 March 2017. William B. Phillips (April 30, 1857 – October 7, 1900), also known as "Silver Bill", was a Canadian professional baseball first baseman from the mid-1870s until the late 1880s. From 1879 to 1888, he played for three major league teams; the Cleveland Blues of the National League (NL) from 1879 to 1884, the Brooklyn Grays of the American Association (AA) from 1885 to 1887, and the Kansas City Cowboys of the AA in 1888. A native of Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, he has the distinction of being the first Canadian to play in the major leagues. As a batter, Phillips finished in the top-ten among league leaders on multiple occasions, including triples four times, and games played, at bats, doubles, runs batted in (RBIs), and extra base hits three times each. Additionally, as a fielder, he finished among the defensive leaders for the league's first baseman in double plays for three consecutive years, and twice finished first in putouts and fielding percentage. Bill Phillips (pitcher)
William Corcoran Phillips (November 9, 1868 – October 25, 1941), nicknamed "Whoa Bill" or "Silver Bill", was an American right-handed pitcher and manager in Major League Baseball. Phillips was born in Allenport, Pennsylvania. At the age of 21, Phillips broke into the big leagues on August 11, 1890, playing his first 10 games for the Pittsburgh Alleghenys. As a player, he pitched for seven seasons in the majors. In 1895 he came back to play 18 more games for the Cincinnati Reds. In 1899 he went 17–9 on a team that featured 19-year-old rookie Sam Crawford and manager Buck Ewing. Phillips played for the Reds from 1899 to 1903, playing his last game on September 22. In a game against the Reds in 1900, Phillips punched Roy Thomas after Thomas fouled off twelve pitches in a single at-bat in the eighth inning. Billy Phillips (born August 9, 1956 in Long Island, New York) is a former U.S. soccer goalkeeper who played three seasons in the North American Soccer League, six in the Major Indoor Soccer League and later coached the Dallas Sidekicks for two seasons. College Phillips was the youngest of five children.. He attended Nassau County Community College where he was named a soccer All-American. He then transferred to Adelphi University where he was a two-sport athlete, both running track and playing soccer. He earned a bachelor's degree in Physical Education in 1978. He still holds the school track record in the 1500 meter (3:46.1), the mile (4:02) and the two-mile relay. He earned All-American honors in 1978 when he finished third in the NCAA Championships for the 1500 meters. He also played goalkeeper for the soccer team and was ranked in the top five for career shutouts and goals against average.
