William Miles Perry (September 26, 1905 – February 13, 1995) was an American cartoonist, known as an assistant on, and later a primary artist for, the ''Gasoline Alley'' comic strip. Born in Chicago, Perry began his career in the mailroom of the ''Chicago Tribune''. Some say that Frank King, to prove his teaching prowess, arbitrarily plucked Perry from that post and trained him in cartooning. William Perry (10 September 1930 – 27 September 2007) was a professional association football, footballer. He spent thirteen seasons at Blackpool F.C., Blackpool from 1949 to 1962. Born in South Africa, he played for the England national football team, England national team. Club career Perry, an outside-left, signed for Blackpool in 1949 after being recommended to the club by scout Billy Butler, who coached him at Johannesburg Rangers. Perry made his league debut for Blackpool on 18 March 1950, in a win at Manchester United F.C., Manchester United. The following season, his FA Cup semi-final replay goal against Birmingham City F.C., Birmingham City helped put Blackpool into the 1951 FA Cup Final, Final against Newcastle United F.C., Newcastle United. Bill Perry (December 25, 1957 - July 17, 2007) was an American blues musician. The guitarist, songwriter and singer toured throughout the U.S. and Europe. In the 1980s, he was the main guitarist for Richie Havens; he also toured with Garth Hudson and Levon Helm around the same time. William Sanford Perry was born in Goshen, New York, United States. In 1995, he was signed for an unprecedented five-album deal with the Pointblank/Virgin label. The ''Bill Perry Blues Band'' consisted of Bill Perry (lead vocals, lead guitar), John Reddan (guitar and vocals), Tim Tindall (bass guitar) and Rob Curtis (drums). The band released a total of seven albums between 1994 and 2006. William Anthony "The Refrigerator" Perry (born December 16, 1962) is a former American football defensive tackle who played in the National Football League (NFL) for ten seasons, primarily with the Chicago Bears. Nicknamed "the Refrigerator" because of his imposing size, he played college football at Clemson and was selected by the Bears in the first round of the 1985 NFL Draft. Perry gained popularity during his rookie season as a member of the Bears team that won the franchise's first and only Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XX. During the season, Perry occasionally played fullback in goal line situations and set the then-record for the heaviest player to score a touchdown at 335 lb (152 kg).
