Bill Otto (Kansas Politician)
William "Bill" Clyde Otto (July 17, 1948) was a Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 9th district. He served from 2005 to 2012 and was succeeded by Edwin Bideau. Prior to his election to the House, Otto served on the Southern Coffey County Site Council (2003–2006), LeRoy City Council (2002–2004), Unified School District 245 Site Council (2000–2003), and the Unified School District 247 Cherokee (1984). Edwin Bideau
Edwin 'Ed' H. Bideau III (October 1, 1950 – September 5, 2013) was a lawyer, farmer, rancher, and Republican member of the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 9th district (Neosho County, Kansas and Allen County, Kansas). Bideau was a 5th generation Kansan who graduated from Chanute High School, Neosho County Community College, and then went on to get both a business and law degree from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas, where he met and married his wife Margaret. They moved back to Chanute the day after Bideau passed the bar exam so he could serve as Assistant County Attorney for Neosho County. In 1976 he was elected County Attorney. In 1984 he was elected to the Kansas House of Representatives, representing the 5th district (Neosho County, Kansas). LeRoy, Kansas
LeRoy is a city in Coffey County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 451. History LeRoy was founded in 1855. It was named after the city of Le Roy, Illinois. The first post office in LeRoy (a name also spelled historically as Leroy) was established in 1856. During the Civil War the town had a military post from 1861 to 1864. LeRoy's post was one of a number of posts in eastern Kansas that existed to guard against Confederate guerrilla attacks and attacks by unfriendly Indians. Pittsburg State University (Pitt State or PSU) is a public university in Pittsburg, Kansas. It enrolls approximately 7,400 students (6,000 undergraduates and 1,400 graduate students) and is a member of the Kansas Board of Regents. History Pittsburg State University was founded in 1903 as the Auxiliary Manual Training Normal School, originally a branch of the State Normal School of Emporia (now Emporia State University).
