Bill McCutcheon
James William McCutcheon (May 23, 1924 – January 9, 2002) was an American character actor known for his roles in film, television, and theatre, several of which won him Emmy and Tony awards. Early life McCutcheon was born in Russell, Kentucky, the son of Robert Kenna McCutcheon, who was a railroad conductor and Florence Louise (née Elam). McCutcheon's first major role was Leo the Leprechaun on ''The Howdy Doody Show''. He followed this appearance with a recurring role (from 1984 to 1992) as Uncle Wally on the children's television series by PBS, ''Sesame Street'', for which he won an Emmy. He also had a prominent role in the movie of 1989, '' Steel Magnolias'', in which he played Owen Jenkins, beau of Ouiser Boudreaux ( Shirley MacLaine). Russell, Kentucky
Russell is a home rule-class city on the south bank of the Ohio River in Greenup County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 3,380 as of the 2010 census, down from 3,645 in 2000. Russell is a suburb of Ashland and part of the Huntington-Ashland-Ironton metropolitan area. It has close economic affiliations with its neighbors, Ashland and Flatwoods in Kentucky and Ironton, Ohio. History The hilly site near the confluence of White Oak Creek and the Ohio was chosen by pioneer Jeff Moore in 1823 in order to provide protection for his camp against attacks by local American Indian tribes. In 1829, James E. McDowell, William Lindsay Poage, and his brother erected an iron furnace; they named the foundry and the community that grew up around it "Amanda Furnace" after William's infant daughter. ''Tune in Tomorrow'' is a 1990 American comedy film directed by Jon Amiel. It is based on the 1977 Mario Vargas Llosa novel ''Aunt Julia and the Scriptwriter'', and was released under that same title in many countries. Relocated from the novel's setting in 1950s-era Lima, Peru to New Orleans, Louisiana that same decade, it stars Peter Falk, Keanu Reeves and Barbara Hershey in a story surrounding a radio drama. ''Hot Stuff'' is a 1979 American action crime comedy film starring Dom DeLuise, Suzanne Pleshette, Jerry Reed and Ossie Davis. DeLuise also directed the film (the only film where he did so), and the song "Hot Stuff" was written and performed by Reed. The script was co-written by best-selling crime novelist Donald E. Westlake.
