Bill Kinnerk
William Kinnerk (14 November 1907 – 6 September 1983) was an Irish Gaelic footballer and local politician. At club level he played with the John Mitchels club and was an All-Ireland Championship medallist with the Kerry senior football team. Playing career Born in Tralee, Kinnerk first played competitive Gaelic football with Tralee Technical School. After lining out with a number of local clubs, he joined John Mitchels and claimed his first Kerry Senior Football Championship medal in his debut year in 1929. He claimed a second county medal as team captain in 1937. Kinnerk first joined the Kerry senior football team in 1932 and ended the year by winning his first All-Ireland Senior Football Championship medal as a substitute. He broke onto the starting fifteen the following year, and was a regular member of the team until his retirement after a tour of the United States in 1939. John Mitchels GAA (Kerry)
John Mitchels GAA are a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland. They are based in the Boherbee and Camp area of Tralee. They play in Division 1 of the county league and in the Kerry Senior Football Championship. Club history Before 1927 only one team represented Tralee in the Kerry Senior Football County Championship and they were Tralee John Mitchels. As this team was so successful the Kerry County Board requested that it should be divided into three individual teams representing, Boherbee, Rock St. and Strand St, this is where the John Mitchels, Austin Stacks and Kerins O'Rahilly's clubs came from. The John Mitchels club since 1927 are thought to be one of the most successful clubs in Kerry. Between 1959 and 1963 they won five Senior Football titles in a row, the only team to do so in the history of the Kerry County Championship. Tom O'Connor (Gaelic Footballer)
Thomas O'Connor (3 November 1918 – 26 February 1997) was an Irish Gaelic footballer. At club level he played with Dingle GAA club and was an All-Ireland Championship-winning captain with the Kerry senior football team. Playing career Born in Dingle, O'Connor first enjoyed footballing success at provincial level as a student with Dingle CBS. He progressed to inter-county level as captain of the Kerry minor football team that lost to Louth in the 1936 All-Ireland final. O'Connor was a late addition to the Kerry senior team the following year and claimed his first All-Ireland Senior Football Championship medal after coming on as a substitute in the replay defeat of Cavan. He claimed a second All-Ireland winners' medal as Kerry's team captain in the 1939 All-Ireland championship, the first of three successive final victories. This article chronologically lists players who have captained the senior Kerry county football team in the Munster Senior Football Championship and the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. If a player captained Kerry in multiple games in a year but that captaincy was broken by an absence from the starting line up, then there will be separate entries for that player for that year. The list is confined to players who started games as captain, it does not list players that were nominated as county captain but did not command a starting place. Unlike other counties the captain is chosen from the club that has won the Kerry Senior Football Championship. Miko Doyle
Miko Doyle (8 April 1911 – 29 September 1980) was an Irish people, Irish sportsperson. He played Gaelic football and hurling with his local club Austin Stacks and was Kerry GAA, Kerry senior inter-county team member from 1929 until 1939. He won five All Ireland medals with Kerry GAA, Kerry during his playing days, four of them by age 21. He was captain of the 1937 winning team. He also won three National Football League titles. At the time Austin Stacks were one of the main teams in Kerry GAA, Kerry in both football and hurling and Doyle won County Championships with both, five in football and four in hurling. He was captain of the 1936 winning football team.
