Bill Hogan
Bill Hogan is a Canadian Progressive Conservative politician who has represented Carleton in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick since 2020. Prior to his political career, Hogan was a schoolteacher and later principal of Woodstock High School in Woodstock, New Brunswick. Political career Hogan served on the town council for Woodstock, New Brunswick since 2010 until his election as MLA. Hogan was elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick at the 2020 New Brunswick general election as a member of the New Brunswick Progressive Conservative Party. On February 23, 2021, Hogan became the province's Minister of Public Safety. Woodstock, New Brunswick
Woodstock is a town in Carleton County, New Brunswick, Canada on the Saint John River, 103 km upriver from Fredericton at the mouth of the Meduxnekeag River. It is near the Canada–United States border and Houlton, Maine and the intersection of Interstate 95 and the Trans-Canada Highway making it a transportation hub. It is also a service centre for the potato industry and for more than 26,000 people in the nearby communities of Hartland, Florenceville-Bristol, Centreville, Bath, Meductic, and Canterbury for shopping, employment and entertainment. Dominic Cardy
Dominic William Cardy (born 25 July 1970) is a Canadian politician and Member of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick. From the 2018 New Brunswick general election until his expulsion from the caucus in October 2022, Cardy represented the electoral district of Fredericton West-Hanwell for the Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick. He now sits as an independent. During his time in government he was the Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development under Blaine Higgs. The 2020 New Brunswick general election was held on September 14, 2020, to elect members of the 60th New Brunswick Legislature. The Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick, led by Blaine Higgs, won a majority government. The writs of election were issued by Lieutenant Governor Brenda Murphy on August 17, 2020, after a request was made by Premier Blaine Higgs to dissolve the legislature. The election was scheduled to take place on October 17, 2022, as determined by the fixed-date provisions of the ''Legislative Assembly Act'', which requires a general election to be held every four years on the third Monday in October. Kris Austin
Kris Austin (born 1979) is the former leader of the People's Alliance of New Brunswick and current member of the Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick and an MLA in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick. On October 13, 2022 he was appointed minister of public safety and solicitor-general by Premier Blaine Higgs. Austin led the People's Alliance into the 2010 provincial election and 2014 provincial elections in which the party won no seats. In the 2018 provincial election the party won three seats including Austin's riding of Fredericton-Grand Lake.
