Biljana Stanković
Biljana Stanković (Serbian Cyrillic: Биљана Станковић; born 11 September 1974 in Vršac, SFR Yugoslavia) is a Serbian basketball coach and former Serbian and Yugoslavian basketball player. She played at the point guard position and is a former member of national team of Serbia. Professional career Stanković is the most victorious female player in Serbian basketball history, winning 24 titles in 28 seasons from 1990 to 2017. National team career Stanković played over 100 games for the Serbian national team and was the team's captain for 7 years. She participated in three EuroBasket tournaments and one FIBA World Cup. Coaching career In December 2018, Stanković was hired as the head coach of Úrvalsdeild kvenna club Skallagrímur, replacing recently fired Ari Gunnarsson. Point Guard
The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the Basketball positions, five positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position and is usually the shortest player on the court. Point guards are expected to control the pace of the game. They effectively "run" the team's offense by controlling the ball and making sure that it gets to the right player at the right time. Generally, point guards are expected to be proficient in passing the ball and being able to get Assist (basketball), assists to teammates. In a pick and roll offense, the point guard typically moves off of screens to facilitate the ball to a Power forward, big. Likewise, point guards can also shoot off of screens if given separation. WABA League
WABA League, commonly known as the Adriatic League, is a top-level regional basketball league, featuring female teams from Serbia, Montenegro, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Croatia. Clubs from Turkey, North Macedonia, Hungary and Italy had their representatives in WABA League in past seasons. Since 2012 a Cadet WABA League and since 2014 Pionir WABA League is also played. The First Women's Basketball League of Serbia (; abbr. ПЖЛС or PŽLS), is a top-tier women's professional basketball league in Serbia. Founded in 2006, it is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS). The league is divided into two parts. The first part of the play all the clubs who have won a place in it.
