Bilećko Lake
Bileća Lake ( sr, Билећко jезеро, Bilećko jezero) is an artificial lake located in the municipality of Bileća, in the entity of Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, its length forming part of the Montenegrin border thus a small part being within Montenegro. The manmade lake was created by building the Grančarevo Dam an arch dam across the Trebišnjica River, which was built in 1968. It lies in the upper and central part of Trebsinjica valley, 17 km from Trebinje town and is one of the largest lakes in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Geography Bileća Lake is a large man made lake on the Trebišnjica River, which was created in 1968. Bileća
Bileća ( sr-cyrl, Билећа) is a town and municipality located in Republika Srpska, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As of 2013, the town has a population of 7,476 inhabitants, while the municipality has 10,807 inhabitants. History The first traces of civilization in Bileća date from the Neolithic period, although archaeological sites are insufficiently explored. During the Middle Ages, Bileća was located on the boundary of the župa of Vrm and the nearby Vlach necropolis was often mentioned as an important crossroad location for caravans on the way from Dubrovnik to Nikšić and Ključ, near Gacko. Trebinje I Hydroelectric Power Station or Trebinje-1 Hydroelectric Power Station is hydroelectric power plant (HPP) on the Trebišnjica River near Gornje Grančarevo in the municipality of Trebinje in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Trebišnjica ( sr-cyrl, Требишњица) is a river in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It used to be a sinking river, long above the ground. With a total length of above and under the ground, it is one of the longest sinking rivers in the world.
