Industrial Metal
Industrial metal is the fusion of heavy metal and industrial music, typically employing repeating metal guitar riffs, sampling, synthesizer or sequencer lines, and distorted vocals. Prominent industrial metal acts include Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Rammstein, Godflesh, and Fear Factory. Industrial metal developed in the late 1980s, as industrial and metal began to fuse into a common genre. Industrial metal did well in the early 1990s, particularly in North America, with the success of groups such as Nine Inch Nails, but its popularity began to fade in the latter half of the 1990s. History Early innovators Though electric guitars had been used by industrial artists since the early days of the genre, archetypal industrial groups such as Throbbing Gristle displayed a strong anti-rock stance. British post-punk band Killing Joke pioneered the crossing over between styles and was an influence on major acts associated with industrial metal such as Ministry, Go ...

Bile (band)
Bile is an American industrial metal project based in New York City. Although there have been many different members throughout the band's career, Krztoff is the songwriting, recording and conceptual leader. The group has performed with as many as 11 and as small as two people on stage. The early shows in 1993–95 New York included a dominatrix and fire-breather. History Beginning in December 1992 Bile began as an art project. The band became a top-drawing New York City live spectacle, which led to them signing with a New York-based indie record label and released three albums on Energy Records, including their debut, '' Suckpump'', ''Teknowhore'' and ''Biledegradable''. Following tours with Gwar, 16 Volt, and numerous lineup changes, the band became unsatisfied with Energy Records and negotiated his way off the label, inciting Krztoff and R.H. Bear (Krztoff's longtime friend and bandmate) to regroup and record for their own label, Bile Style Records. Krztoff recorded '' ...

Suckpump
''SuckPump'' is the first album by New York industrial band Bile, released in 1994. The album was released on the now-defunct Energy Records. Bile re-released the album in 2003 alongside their out-of-print second release, ''Teknowhore'', as a digipak titled '' Frankenhole''. ''SuckPump'' was written and recorded by Chris 'Krztoff' Liggio and produced and engineered by David 'Slave' Stagnari, Robert 'Void' Caprio, and Krztoff (reported on the album as Kristoff). "I Reject" was part of the soundtrack of the 1995 film adaptation of ''Mortal Kombat''. Critical reception ''The Encyclopedia of Popular Music'' gave the album 4 stars (out of 5) and called it a "classic." ''The Washington Post ''The Washington Post'' (also known as the ''Post'' and, informally, ''WaPo'') is an American daily newspaper published in Washington, D.C. Teknowhore
''TeknoWhore'' is a studio album by the American industrial metal band Bile, released in 1996. The album was released on the now defunct Energy Records and had not been reproduced since the company's fold in 2000. After being out of print for three years, Bile decided to re-release the album alongside their out-of-print first release, '' Suckpump'', as a digipak titled '' Frankenhole'' in 2003. ''TeknoWhore'' was written and recorded by Krztoff, produced by Krztoff and Slave, mixed by Slave, and engineered by Steve Spaperri and Patrick Gordon. Critical reception ''The Washington Post'' wrote that "the band's world view is as contrived and perverse as its style, which alternates slamming synthbeats with aimless interludes of burbling music and ironic samples from old movies and documentaries." Track listing # "Intro" - 2:09 # "Teknowhore" - 2:08 # "Weather Control" - 4:38 # "No One I Call Friend" - 6:28 # "Habitual Sphere" - 4:38 # "Compound Pressure" - 5:14 # "Interstate Hate S ...

Mortal Kombat
''Mortal Kombat'' is an American media franchise centered on a series of video games originally developed by Midway Games in 1992. The development of the first game was originally based on an idea that Ed Boon and John Tobias had of making a video game starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, but when that idea fell through, a science fantasy-themed fighting game was created instead. Still, the developers paid homage to him with Johnny Cage (one of the main characters in the franchise), a fictional film star whose personal style resembles Van Damme's. Mortal Kombat (1992 video game), The original ''Mortal Kombat'' was the first fighting game to introduce a Reptile (Mortal Kombat), secret fighter, reached if the player fulfilled a set of requirements. The original game spawned List of Mortal Kombat media, many sequels with several action-adventure games. It also has a comic book series and a card game. Movie producer Lawrence Kasanoff, Larry Kasanoff licensed the rights to the game in th ...
