Bika, Nawanshahr
Bika is a village in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district of Punjab State, India. It is located away from Mukandpur, from Banga, from district headquarter Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar and from state capital Chandigarh. The village is administrated by Sarpanch an elected representative of the village. Demography As of 2011, Bika has a total number of 178 houses and population of 771 of which 363 include are males while 408 are females according to the report published by Census India in 2011. The literacy rate of Bika is 83.74%, higher than the state average of 75.84%. The population of children under the age of 6 years is 82 which is 10.64% of total population of Bika, and child sex ratio is approximately 640 as compared to Punjab state average of 846. Bika Ambon
Bika ambon or golden cake or golden kuih bingka in Singapore, is an Indonesian dessert, made from ingredients such as tapioca flour, eggs, sugar, yeast and coconut milk. Bika ambon is generally sold in pandan and banana flavor, but today it is also available in other flavors like durian, cheese and chocolate. This cake is a further development of ''kue bingka,'' a famous traditional cake in the eastern parts of Indonesia. The cake is notable for its sponge-like holes, which was formed by yeast in the cake dough that creates bubbles. This holes gives it a unique spongy texture when it is baked. Its close analogue probably is the Malay sponge cake, due to similar spongy holes, but the moists and texture is actually slightly different. Rao Bika
Rao Bika Rathore (5 August 1438 – 17 June 1504), was the founder of the Kingdom of Bikaner in present-day Rajasthan. He was a scion of the Rathore clan of Rajputs. He was a son of Rao Jodha, founder of the kingdom of Marwar. Establishment of Bikaner In 1465 AD, Rao Bika (one of the sons of Rao Jodha and a potential heir to the throne of Marwar) on the occasion in question had come late and taken seat beside his uncle, Rawat Kandhal, with whom he carried a conversation in whisper. The Rao jestingly remarked that they must be making a plan of conquest of new territory, an idea constantly being suggested to him to provide for his large family. Rao Bika and Rawat Kandhal took the observation as a challenge and pledged to win new lands.
