Bijapur Airport
Vijayapura Airport is an under-construction greenfield airport that will serve the city of Vijayapura in Karnataka, India. The airport is being built by the Karnataka State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (KSIIDC) at a cost of Rs 220 crore. The project site is located 15 km from the city on of land in Madhabavi, located outside the city premises. The airport is expected to be ready by early 2023. Madabhavi is a large village located in Athani taaluk of Belagavi district, Karnataka state of India. The village is famous for the production of leather chappals, which have main market in Kolhapur. The village name comes from "''Madya''" meaning central and "''Bhavi''" meaning an open well. The open well is situated near panchayat of the village.
