Bijagua District
Bijagua is the fourth district of the Upala canton, in the Alajuela province of Costa Rica. Geography Bijagua has an area of km2 and an elevation of metres. It is a small town approximately 26 km south of Upala in Northern plains of Costa Rica. The town is situated in a valley between the Miravalles and Tenorio volcanoes. Alajuela Province
Alajuela () is a province of Costa Rica. It is located in the north-central part of the country, bordering Nicaragua to the north. It also borders the provinces of Heredia to the east, San José to the south, Puntarenas to the southwest and Guanacaste to the west. As of 2011, the province had a population of 885,571. Miravalles Volcano
The Miravalles Volcano is an andesitic stratovolcano in Costa Rica. Tenorio Volcano
Tenorio Volcano ( es, Volcán Tenorio) is an inactive andesitic stratovolcano in north-western Costa Rica. It is the main geographical feature of the eponymous Tenorio Volcano National Park. Tenorio Volcano National Park
Tenorio Volcano National Park ( es, Parque Nacional Volcán Tenorio) is a National Park in the northern part of Costa Rica, which forms part of the Arenal Tempisque Conservation Area. The jewel of the National Park is the Tenorio Volcano, from which it receives its name. The volcano was made part of the National Park in 1995 and is located about 26 miles northeast from the town of Fortuna in the Guanacaste Province. The Rio Celeste appears blue due to the emission of sulphur from the volcano and precipitation of calcium carbonate. Celeste River
Celeste River () is a river in Tenorio Volcano National Park of Costa Rica. It is notable for its distinctive turquoise coloration. The Celeste River also borders several hot springs and has one large waterfall. It takes about an hour to hike to the waterfall from the park's entrance.
