Bigbee Valley is an unincorporated community in Noxubee County, Mississippi, United States. Variant names are "Bigbeevale", "Nances Mill", and "Whitehall". Bigbee Valley is located on Mississippi Highway 388, west of the Alabama state line. The hamlet was historically located near the west bank of the Tombigbee River. The construction of the Tennessee–Tombigbee Waterway in 1984 moved the navigable portion of the waterway east. The Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) is a database of name and locative information about more than two million physical and cultural features throughout the United States and its territories, Antarctica, and the associated states of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau. The Tombigbee River is a tributary of the Mobile River, approximately 200 mi (325 km) long, in the U.S. states of Mississippi and Alabama. Mississippi Highway 388 (MS 388) is a state highway in eastern Mississippi. The route starts at the intersection of U.S. Route 45 Alternate (US 45 Alt.) and MS 852 in Brooksville, and it travels east to US 45 soon after. The route intersects MS 792 near Cliftonville, and it ends at Alabama State Route 86 (SR 86) at the Alabama–Mississippi state line.
