Big Square Eye
''Big Square Eye'' is an Australian children's game show aired on ABC TV from 1991 until 1992 and was repeated one last time in 1993. It was hosted by Bob La Castra, with musician Paul Mac as "Knuckles" McDermott on keyboard and sound effects. The programme aired on weekdays just after 5 pm as part of the '' Afternoon Show'' programming block. The premise of the program was that each episode had celebrity guest judges which particular skills which they would demonstrate to the children in the audience. Contestants were selected from the audience to attempt a challenge which involved the celebrity guest's skills to their satisfaction. Bob La Castra
Robert "Bob" La Castra (born in England) is an Australian local politician who was a popular children's television show presenter in the 1980s, best known for hosting the children's show ''Wombat'' and the game show ''Big Square Eye''. He went on to write for ABC Television's ''Bananas in Pyjamas'' with his production company Little Production House. He also played Eddie Buckingham in the Network Ten soap opera ''Neighbours'' in 1990. Mark Waugh
Mark Edward Waugh (born 2 June 1965) is an Australian cricket commentator and former international cricketer, who represented Australia in Test matches from early 1991 to late 2002, after previously making his One Day International (ODI) debut in 1988. Waugh is younger than his twin brother Steve by a few minutes. Dean Waugh, another of Mark's brothers, is also a cricketer, having played both first-class and List A cricket in Australia for New South Wales. His nephew and Steve's son, Austin, was selected in the Australian under-19 team. He was previously a national selector, holding that position until August 2018. On 15 May 2018, he announced his intentions to swap national selector duties for a TV commentating role with Fox Sports. Jeanne Mitchell (11 May 19387 November 2020), professionally known as Jeanne Little, was an Australian entertainer, comedienne and television personality who won the Gold Logie award in 1977 (a dual honour that year with Don Lane winning as Best Male Personality). Her first success on television was on ''The Mike Walsh Show'' which earned her the Gold Logie plus two other Logies. Kenneth Stephen Done (born 29 June 1940) is an Australian artist best known for his design work. Although his simple, brightly coloured images of Australian landmarks have adorned a very popular range of clothing and homewares sold under the "Done Design" brand, Done's primary interest is in being a painter. Paul Francis McDermott (born 17 September 1965), who performs as Paul Mac, is an Australian electropop musician, singer-songwriter, producer and music re-mixer. He was classically trained at Sydney Conservatorium of Music. Mac has formed various bands including Smash Mac Mac (1986–88), The Lab (1989–1998), Itch-E and Scratch-E (1991–present), Boo Boo Mace & Nutcase (1996–98), and The Dissociatives (2003–2005).
