Big H (rapper)
Adrian Harris, better known by his stage name Big H, is an English grime artist and rapper from Tottenham, London, United Kingdom. Biography Known for his distinctive style, H spent much of his life creating new music and "perfecting the flow". In 2009, H released his debut mixtape ''Street Crime UK''. He was originally a member of Meridian Crew before it split. Following a hiatus, Big H returned in 2012 to release "Mark of the Beast" and begin to ease himself back on to underground radio stations. In mid-2013, Big H teamed up with the recently formed Inside Music, signing an album and management deal that would see the highly anticipated album finally released. Since then, Big H has found himself on a higher platform, appearing on Charlie Sloth's 1Xtra show, releasing another album ''Fire And Smoke'' and achieving commercial success on Meridian Dan's German Whip. AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. "German Whip" is the debut single by grime artist Meridian Dan, released as the lead single from his forthcoming debut album, ''I Am London''. The song features vocals from rappers Big H and JME, and was produced by The HeavyTrackerz, who have been credited with production for many other chart-successful songs. The song entered the UK Singles Chart on 20 May 2014 at number 13, which remains its highest charting position. Background and release The song was released on 13 April 2014, having achieved nationwide recognition beforehand. Lord of the Mics (also known as LOTM) is a series of recorded grime clashes, headed by Jammer and Chad ‘Ratty’ Stennett. Each edition of LOTM features grime MC's participating in recorded clashes, where they 'battle' each other over grime instrumentals. Various notable grime artists have participated in Lord of the Mics, such as Skepta, Wiley, Kano, P Money, Big H, and Canadian MC Tre Mission. LOTM was originally launched in 2004. The first clash to be filmed for LOTM, Wiley versus Kano, was filmed in Jammer's basement. The series was originally only published via DVD. LOTM was the first platform that released filmed grime clashes. Clashing is considered to be an important aspect of grime music due to the influence of Jamaican sound clashing. Paris Moore-Williams (born 8 April 1989), better known by his stage name P Money, is a British grime MC, rapper and songwriter from New Cross, South East London, who is also active in the drum and bass scene. Roll Deep (formerly Roll Deep Entourage) are a British grime crew. They were founded in 2001 by Wiley shortly before the disbandment of UK garage crew Pay As U Go Cartel. The group have had two UK No. 1 singles, " Good Times" and " Green Light", won an Urban Music Award, and between 2001 and 2012 they released five studio albums before entering an indefinite hiatus in 2013. Current member Wiley and former members Dizzee Rascal and Tinchy Stryder have gone on to be successful solo artists in the UK, with songs that have topped charts.
