''Big Brother Célébrités'' is the Quebec celebrity version of the international reality show ''Big Brother''. It premiered on January 10, 2021 on Noovo. Produced by Banijay and Groupe Entourage, it is hosted by singer Marie-Mai Bouchard. Similar in format to the American, American Celebrity,and Canadian English versions of the program, the show features a group of public figures from Quebec, known as housemates, living in a custom-built house under constant surveillance, with cameras and microphones to track their every word and action. They are cut off from the outside world, with no communication through internet or phones. The housemates compete in weekly challenges for power and safety before voting each other from the house. The last person standing wins a cash prize, a donation to a charity of their choice, along with additional prizes from the show's sponsors. Loft Story (Quebec)
''Loft Story'' is a Quebec television series broadcast on the TQS television network, and was an adaptation of the show ''Loft Story'' in France, which itself was an adaptation of the ''Big Brother'' franchise. TQS became V and replaced ''Loft Story'' with a new ''Big Brother'' series for Quebec in 2010. During the first season (2003), the show had TVA's ''Occupation Double'' as its main competitor, and was a success in terms of viewership, but was not as financially successful as the French version. Therefore, the program was discontinued the following season but was resurrected three years later in January 2006. In response to criticism of year 1, year 2 toned down the sexual content and replaced it with daily games and truth/dare events. Noovo Original Programming
Noovo is a Canadian French-language terrestrial television network owned by the Bell Media subsidiary of BCE Inc. The network has five owned-and-operated and three affiliated stations throughout Quebec, although it can also be seen over-the-air in some bordering markets in the provinces of Ontario and New Brunswick. It can also be received in some other parts of Canada on cable television or direct broadcast satellite. L'Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève () is a borough (''arrondissement'') of the city of Montreal. History On 24 October 1678, the government of Louis de Buade de Frontenac granted Île Bizard, then named Île Bonaventure as a seigniory to Jacques Bizard. Île Bizard is an island near the Island of Montreal in the Hochelaga Archipelago region. History Historically named Île Bonaventure, by 1723 it had come to be named Île Bizard, after Jacques Bizard, to whom it was conceded as a fief in 1678, part of the seigneurial system of New France.
