Big Brother (Greek Season 6)
''Big Brother Greece 6'' was the sixth season of the Greek reality television series '' Big Brother''. The show returned after a nine-year hiatus and began airing on 29 August 2020 on Skai TV and ended after 113 days on 18 December 2020, nineteen years after the first season aired. It was the first season of ''Big Brother'' to air on Skai TV. The show also simulcast live in Cyprus on Sigma TV like in the last season. This season was originally scheduled to start on 15 March 2020. But was postponed until further notice by Skai TV due to the impact of COVID-19 pandemic in Greece. Harry Varthakouris presented the show. Andreas Mikroutsikos was the opinionist. The winner received €100,000. Anna-Maria Psycharaki was announced as the winner of the season, with Sofia Danezi as the runner-up. Skai TV
Skai TV (Greek: ΣΚΑΪ) is a Greek free-to-air television network based in Piraeus. It is part of the Skai Group, one of the largest media groups in the country. It was relaunched in its present form on 1 April 2006 in the Athens metropolitan area, and gradually spread its coverage nationwide. Besides digital terrestrial transmission, it is available on the subscription-based encrypted services of Nova and Cosmote TV. Skai TV is also a member of Digea, a consortium of private television networks introducing digital terrestrial transmission in Greece. At launch, Skai TV opted for dubbing all foreign language content into Greek, instead of using subtitles. This is very uncommon in Greece for anything except documentaries (using voiceover dubbing) and children's programs (using lip-synced dubbing), so after intense criticism, the station switched to using subtitles for almost all foreign shows. ''Big Brother'' is an American television reality competition show based on the original Dutch reality show of the same name created by producer John de Mol in 1997. The series takes its name from the character in George Orwell's 1949 novel ''Nineteen Eighty-Four.'' The American series launched on July 5, 2000 on CBS and is currently the second longest-running adaptation in the '' Big Brother'' franchise to date, after the Spanish version. The show broadly follows the premise of other versions of the format, in which a group of contestants, known as "HouseGuests", live together in a specially constructed house that is isolated from the outside world for a cash prize of $500,000 (or $750,000 in the 23rd season onwards). Pangrati
Pangrati or Pagrati ( el, Παγκράτι) is a neighborhood in Central Athens, Greece, having an estimated population of 35,173 residents. Named after the ancient sanctuary of Hercules Pancrates ("All Powerful"), its frontage runs from Vasilissis Sofias Avenue along to Vasileos Konstantinou Avenue and Vassileos Alexandrou Avenue, just a few minutes walk from the National Gardens. Mykonos
