Big B Drugs
Big B, Inc. was a Birmingham, Alabama-based drugstore chain. The company began operation in 1968 as division of Birmingham based Bruno's Supermarkets. Most of its stores were located next to a Bruno's, Food World or FoodMax. Big B also operated a discount drugstore chain called Drugs For Less. The company had close to $800 million in revenue by the end of 1996. In 1982, Big B was spun off from the Bruno's Supermarkets into an independent company, Big B, Inc., based in Bessemer, Alabama. In 1989, Big B acquired 85 Reed Drug and Lee Drug stores from Peoples Drug, giving them a presence in Atlanta, north Georgia and western Alabama. A few years later, Big B acquired 80 "Treasury Drug" stores from JCPenney's Thrift Drug division. Big B was finally becoming a major drug retailer in the Atlanta area. ''Big B'' (short form of ''Big Brother'') is a 2007 Indian Malayalam-language neo-noir action thriller film co-written and directed by Amal Neerad, starring Mammootty in the lead role with an ensemble cast including Manoj K. Jayan, Bala, Sumit Naval, Mamtha Mohandas, Nafisa Ali, Pasupathy, Shereveer Vakil, Innocent and Vijayaraghavan in supporting roles. The cinematography was done by Sameer Thahir, songs were composed by Alphonse Joseph and background score by Gopi Sundar. It is heavily inspired from the 2005 Hollywood film '' Four Brothers''. Big B is considered as a pathbreaking film in the history of Malayalam cinema, which introduced a new style of making and has later attained a huge cult following. Bryan Mahoney (born July 30, 1972), known by his stage name Big B, is an American rapper currently signed with Suburban Noize Records as a solo artist. Billboard's discography on every Big B/ref> Along with John E. Necro, he performs vocals in the rap rock band OPM, which is also signed with Suburban Noize. Early career Mahoney was born in Upland, California and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He started out in a Las Vegas-based band, 187, and was also an original member of the bands Spade Brigade and OPM, as well as a co-founder of Controversy Sells.
