Biffy Clyro Discography
The discography of Biffy Clyro, a Scottish alternative rock band from Kilmarnock, consists of nine studio albums, three live albums, seven compilations, one soundtrack, six extended plays (EPs), 43 singles, 37 music videos and six other appearances. Formed in 1995 by vocalist and guitarist Simon Neil, bassist James Johnston and drummer Ben Johnston, Biffy Clyro released their debut EP ''thekidswhopoptodaywillrocktomorrow'' in 2000 through Electric Honey, and later signed with Beggars Banquet Records. The band's debut full-length album ''Blackened Sky'' was released in 2002, reaching number 25 on the Scottish Albums Chart. "Saturday Superhouse" is a song by Biffy Clyro and the first physical single from their fourth album, ''Puzzle''. It was released on 5 March 2007. The band undertook a promotional tour of UK HMV stores to coincide with the release of the single. Overview Simon Neil has commented on the song, saying: The song was first played live on 6 December 2006 at a warm-up concert at The Ice Factory nightclub in Perth, Scotland and first aired on radio on ''The Rock Show'' on BBC Radio 1, on 9 January 2007. B-sides "Scared of Lots of Everything" and "I'm Behind You" were first performed live on 16 December 2005 on the last night of Biffy's four night run at Glasgow's King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, a gig which showcased material that Biffy had written and recorded for the fourth album that at the time was due for release in the summer of 2006. ''Puzzle'' is the fourth studio album by Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro, released 4 June 2007 – the album was later released in America in August. It is the band's first album since leaving Beggars Banquet (though the sleeve artwork still features the Beggars Banquet logo). ''Infinity Land'' is the third studio album by Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro, released on 4 October 2004 on Beggars Banquet. Overview The album saw the band move into darker territory, in terms of both sound and lyrical content. It also furthered various experiments from ''The Vertigo of Bliss'', such as using 5/4 time ("There is no Such Thing as a Jaggy Snake"), multiple time changes, key changes, instrumental variation, unpredictable riffs and complex song structures. The album contains a hidden track, "Tradition Feed". After the final track, "Pause And Turn It Up", approximately 18 minutes of silence precedes a short poem, read by Simon Neil. "Tradition Feed" can also be found as a B-side to the vinyl 7" single " Only One Word Comes To Mind". As with each of the band's first three albums, it has been played in full once only, on 15 December 2005 at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow. "Questions and Answers" is a song by Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro, and was the second single to be released from their 2003 album, ''The Vertigo of Bliss''; It was their first single to enter the top 40 of the UK Singles Chart, reaching a peak of number 26. It was also their first top-ten single in their home country, reaching number nine on the Scottish Singles Chart. The music video, directed by Bradley Beesley and Dan Brown, was recorded with Simon Neil in a wheelchair after he broke his foot the night before the video shoot at a gig by jumping off the PA system. Brown said of the making of the video: "Brad and I flew to London in March of 2003 to shoot a video for Biffy Clyro (then signed to Beggars Banquet).
