Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jhansi (commonly known as BIET Jhansi) is an autonomous engineering college in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is an affiliated college of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). It is recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education. It was established in 1986 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to provide impetus to technical education in the state and was the fifth government engineering college in the state. The first batch of the college was admitted in 1989 and graduated in 1993. The highest executive body of the institute is the Board of Governors. Christian Biet
Christian Biet (12 May 1952 – 13 July 2020) was a French professor of theatrical studies. His main work focused on the aesthetics of theatre. Biography Biet was born into a family of teachers. After his secondary studies and khâgne at the Lycée Condorcet, he worked as an auditor at the École normale supérieure de Saint-Cloud. Alongside his close friends, Jean-Luc Rispali and Jean-Paul Brighelli, Biet succeeded with his aggregation in 1975. In 1982, they published a series of historical works for Lagarde et Michard. They collaborated on other works regarding Alexandre Dumas and surrealism. After completing his education, Biet worked as a lecturer at Paris Nanterre University before becoming a theatre professor in 1986. He supervised 42 theses at Paris Nanterre. He also served as the director of the History and Arts Representation unit at the University. Félix Biet
Félix Biet (1838 in Langres, Haute-Marne – 1901 in Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or) was a French missionary from Paris Foreign Missions Society and naturalist. Life Biet was born in 1838. He was ordained as a priest in 1864. He was next sent to Tatsienlu in Tibet (called Dartsedo by Tibetans) as a missionary and he became the Bishop of the Apostolic Vicariate of Thibet, now Diocese of Kangding, in 1898. Félix Biet collected butterflies for Charles Oberthür who dedicated three new species ('' Thecla bieti'', '' Pantoporia bieti'' and ''Anthocharis bieti'') to him. Alphonse Milne-Edwards described the Chinese mountain cat ('' Felis bieti'') and the black snub-nosed monkey, ('' Rhinopithecus bieti''), the latter collected and sent by Jean-André Soulié. The Biet's laughingthrush a Chinese endemic species was another discovery, named by Émile Oustalet in 1897.
