Bibin Mathew
Bibin Mathew (born 16 January 1987) is an Indian track and field sprinter who competes in the 400 metres. He was the 2010 Asian Indoor Champion in the event and is a two-time South Asian Games gold medallist. He holds the Indian indoor record at 47.81 seconds, set in 2010. Mathew has also represented India at the Commonwealth Games, Asian Games and the Asian Athletics Championships. Career Hailing from Jharkhand, he made his breakthrough in 2007 when he won the 400 m title at the 2007 National Games of India and also won the event at the Indian Athletics Championships, in the absence of national record holder K. M. Binu. He was a 400 m semi-finalist at the 2007 Asian Indoor Games, setting an Indian indoor record of 48.83 seconds on his international debut. Athletics is a group of sporting events that involves competitive running, jumping, throwing, and walking. Arokia Rajiv
Subedar Arokia Rajiv (born 22 May 1991) is an Indian sprinter and a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in Indian Army who specialises in the 400 metres distance. He won silver medals in the men's and mixed 4 × 400 m relays at the 2018 Asian Games and placed third in the individual 400 m in 2014. He won medals in both the 400 m and 4 × 400 m events at the 2016 South Asian Games and 2017 Asian Championships. He competed in the relay at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the Men's relay event where the Indian team broke the Asian and National Records and clocked a time of 3:00.25. Kunhu Muhammed Puthanpurakkal (born 5 March 1987) is an Indian sprinter who specialises in the 400 metres event. He participated in the 4 × 400 metres relay event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. In July 2016, Muhammed was part of the relay team that broke the national 4 × 400 metres relay at Bangalore and qualified for the Olympics. The 2011 National Games of India, also known as the ''34th National Games of India'' and informally as Jharkhand 2011 was the 34th edition of National Games of India, held from 12 February 2011 to 26 February 2011 in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Athletics At The 2010 Commonwealth Games
The athletics competition at the 2010 Commonwealth Games was held in New Delhi, India between 6 and 14 October. The track and field events took place between 6–12 October at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium while the marathon contests were held on a street course running through the city on 14 October. A total of 46 athletics events were contested, which made it the sport with the second greatest number of medals on offer after the aquatics competition. The programme was almost identical to that of the 2006 edition, with the sole exception being the men's 50 km race walk, which was dropped.
