Biberach (electoral District)
Biberach is an electoral constituency ( German: ''Wahlkreis'') represented in the Bundestag. It elects one member via first-past-the-post voting. Under the current constituency numbering system, it is designated as constituency 292. It is located in southeastern Baden-Württemberg, comprising the Biberach district and northeastern parts of the Ravensburg district. Biberach was created for the inaugural 1949 federal election. Since 2009, it has been represented by Josef Rief of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Geography Biberach is located in southeastern Baden-Württemberg. As of the 2021 federal election, it comprises the district of Biberach and the municipalities of Aichstetten, Aitrach, Bad Wurzach, and Kißlegg from the Ravensburg district. Bad Waldsee
Bad Waldsee () is a town in Upper Swabia in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It is part of the district of Ravensburg. It is situated 20 km south of Biberach an der Riß, and 20 km northeast of Ravensburg. The town is known for its historic old city with many landmarks and large pedestrian zone. Bad Waldsee is the district center for the Bodensee-Oberschwaben district and is the seat of the townships of Bad Waldsee, Aulendorf and Bergatreute. Geography Bad Waldsee is located in Upper Swabia north of the Altdofer forest. Argenbühl
Argenbühl is a municipality in the district of Ravensburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. No actual town or urban settlement is called Argenbühl; rather, the municipality is an administrative amalgamation of several neighbouring villages with different names. The municipal administrative headquarters are located in the village of Eisenharz, with local branch offices also in the villages of Christazhofen, Eglofs, and Ratzenried. Geographically, it lies in the western part of the Prealpine region of the Allgäu, which in turn is part of the larger geographical region of Swabia in southern Germany. Sigmaringen (district)
Sigmaringen is a ''Landkreis'' (district) in the south of Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise) Reutlingen, Biberach, Ravensburg, Bodensee, Constance, Tuttlingen, and Zollernalbkreis. History The area of the district was owned by several different states historically. It was split between many minor rulers before the German Mediatisation of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. By 1806 it had become a border area between the Grand Duchy of Baden, the Kingdom of Württemberg, and the much smaller principality of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen embedded between them. In 1849 Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen became part of the Prussian Province of Hohenzollern (along with the principality of Hohenzollern-Hechingen). Langenenslingen (; Swabian: ''Ẽslenga'') is a municipality in the district of Biberach in Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It has a population close to 3,500. Geography Location Langenenslingen is located on the northern edge of Upper Swabia in Old and Young Drift in the district of Biberach. It lies on the Upper Swabian Baroque Route, a tourist route. The highest elevation of the Biberach district with 801 metres is located in Ittenhausen. History Langenenslingen was first mentioned in a document in 935. It originally belonged to the Counts of Veringen. They sold it in 1291 to the House of Habsburg. In 1806 Langenenslingen fell to Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, where it was assigned to ''Oberamt'' Sigmaringen, later Sigmaringen district.
