The Östersund Ski Stadium ( sv, Östersunds skidstadion) is a cross-country skiing, biathlon, and ski orienteering facility in Östersund, Sweden. Clare Egan
Laurent Clare Egan (born November 19, 1987) is a retired American Biathlon, biathlete. She has represented the United States in World Cup Biathlon from 2015 through the 2018-2019 season and at the 2018 Winter Olympics in 2018 Winter Olympics, PyeongChang. Clare was elected in 2018 to chair the International Biathlon Union Athletes’ Committee until 2022. She represented the United States at the 2022 Winter Olympics. Life Egan is originally from Cape Elizabeth, Maine. She was a stand-out runner and skier at Cape Elizabeth High School, from which she graduated in 2006. Egan attended Wellesley College and received a master's degree from the University of New Hampshire; she speaks six languages. Svetlana Mironova (biathlete)
Svetlana Igorevna Mironova (russian: Светлана Игоревна Миронова; born 22 February 1994) is a Russian biathlete. Career Mironova was engaged in cross-country skiing until 2011, when she decided to switch competing in biathlon. At the 2013 Junior World Championships in Obertilliach, she became the relay champion alongside teammates Victoria Slivko and Uliana Kaisheva. In the same championship, she won bronze in the sprint, was 11th in the pursuit and 24th in the individual race. In 2014, at the U21 European Championships, she took second place in the sprint and became the champion in the pursuit. Mironova made her World Cup debut in the 2016-17 season in Pyeongchang, finishing 64th in the sprint held on 2 March 2017. In the 2017-18 season, Mironova took part in seven out of nine stages. Susan Dunklee
Susan Dunklee (born February 13, 1986, in Newport, Vermont) is an American biathlete. Life and career Dunklee was raised in the town of Barton, Vermont and started skiing at the age of two, first entering cross-country competitions at the age of seven. She attended St. Johnsbury Academy, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont for high school. She took up biathlon while she was a senior at Dartmouth College, where she studied ecology. While at Dartmouth, Dunklee was also a member of Dartmouth's 2007 National Championship Ski team and was active in the Dartmouth Outing Club. Prior to this she had been a double All-American in cross-country skiing. Her best World Cup finish was 2nd in a Sprint event in Presque Isle, ME in 2016. At the 2012 Biathlon World Championships in Ruhpolding, Dunklee set a new World Championship best with a fifth place in the individual event. Baiba Bendika (born 27 June 1991) is a Latvian biathlete. She made her Biathlon World Cup debut in 2011. During the 2015–16 World Cup season, she reached her career first Top 10, finishing fifth at the 7.5 km spring in Canmore. It was the first time she gained World Cup points. Kaisa Leena Mäkäräinen (born 11 January 1983) is a Finnish former world-champion and 3-time world-cup-winning biathlete, who currently competes for Kontiolahden Urheilijat. Outside sports, Mäkäräinen is currently studying to be a Physics teacher at the University of Eastern Finland in Joensuu. Her team coach is Jonne Kähkönen, while Jarmo Punkkinen is her ski coach.
