The biathlon competition at the 2010 Winter Olympics were held at Whistler Olympic Park in Whistler, British Columbia. The events were held between the 13th and 26 February 2010. The men's individual biathlon was notable for the awarding of two silver medals due to two competitors finishing with a tie (48:32.0). No bronze medal was awarded in this event. Whistler Olympic Park
The Whistler Olympic Park is the location of the Nordic events facilities for the 2010 Winter Olympics and is located in the Madeley Creek basin in the Callaghan Valley, west of Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. The facility hosted the Biathlon at the 2010 Winter Olympics, biathlon, Cross-country skiing at the 2010 Winter Olympics, cross-country skiing, Nordic combined at the 2010 Winter Olympics, Nordic combined, and Ski jumping at the 2010 Winter Olympics, ski jumping. Tarjei Bø
Tarjei Bø (born 29 July 1988) is a Norwegian professional biathlete. Awarded Olympic gold medals, World Championship gold medals and World Cup victories from 2010 to 2022. Bø debuted in the Biathlon World Cup on 26 March 2009 in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia. In the 2010 Winter Olympics he earned his first gold medal in the 4 × 7.5 km biathlon relay. On 10 December 2010 he won the World Cup sprint race in Hochfilzen, his first world cup victory. He also won the following pursuit race and anchored the winning relay team. Bø is the older brother of biathlete Johannes Thingnes Bø. Tarjei won the 2010 to 2011 the biathlon crystal globe, for having the most points overall in the season. Marie-Laure Brunet (born 20 November 1988 in Lannemezan, Hautes-Pyrénées) is a retired French biathlete and Olympic athlete who won a bronze medal in the women's pursuit at the 2010 Winter Olympic Games of Vancouver. Marie Dorin Habert
Marie Dorin Habert (born 19 June 1986) is a retired French biathlete. Career She became junior world champion in relay (2004 and 2005). She represented France at the 2010 Winter Olympics. She was also on the bronze medal-winning French relay team at the Biathlon World Championships 2009. Dorin won a bronze in the women's 7.5 km sprint on 13 February 2010 and a silver in the relay. She won her first individual world cup victory at the 2015 world championships in Kontiolahti, Finland, in the sprint event, which was her first World Champion title as well. Magdalena "Lena" Neuner (; since her 2014 marriage legally Magdalena Holzer; born 9 February 1987) is a retired German professional biathlete. She is the most successful woman of all time at Biathlon World Championships and a two-time Olympic gold medalist. At the age of 21, she became the youngest Overall World Cup winner in the history of the International Biathlon Union (IBU). With 34 World Cup wins, Neuner is ranked second all-time for career victories on the Biathlon World Cup tour. Darya Uladzimirauna Domracheva ( be, Дар’я Уладзіміраўна Домрачэва; born 3 August 1986) is a retired Belarusian biathlete and coach who competed in the Biathlon World Cup from 2006 to 2018. Elena Vladimirovna Khrustaleva (russian: Елена Владимировна Хрусталёва) (born 28 September 1980, in Krasnoyarsk) is a former Russian (until 2001, and since 2002 till 2006), Belarusian (since 2001 till 2002), and Kazakhstani (since 2006) biathlete. Anton Vladimirovich Shipulin (russian: Антон Владимирович Шипулин; born 21 August 1987) is a retired Russian biathlete and politician serving as the member of the State Duma since 2019. Sport career Absolute champion of European Biathlon Championship 2008 (juniors), he was the best Russian biathlon marksman in the same season (2009/2010).
