Bhopal Ijtema
Bhopal Tablighi Ijtema is an annual Islamic Ijtema (congregation) or Aalmi Ijtema held in Bhopal, India. The first ijtema was organised in 1949 at Masjid Shakoor Khan in Bhopal's old walled city. After the event grew, the venue was changed to Taj-ul-Masajid . Since 2005 because of the heavy crowd the venue has been shifted to Ghasipura, 11 km from Bhopal. Activities Ijtema is held on a Saturday, Sunday and Monday every year in November Jamaats gather from around the world. From 2018 Ijtema is held on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Increased a day. The congregation begins with Fajr salah on Friday morning followed by a series of lectures from different Muslim scholars and clerics. Taj-ul-Masajid
The Taj-ul-Masajid ( ar, , Tāj-ul-Masājid, lit=Crown of Mosques) or Tāj-ul-Masjid (), is a mosque situated in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is the largest mosque in India and one of the largest mosques in the world. History The construction of the Taj-ul-Masajid was started by Nawab Shah Jahan Begum of Bhopal, in the newly-built walled suburb of Shahjahanabad. The exact year when construction was started is unclear; Sharma estimates it to be 1871. After Shah Jahan Begum died in 1901, the mosque continued to be built by her daughter Sultan Jahan Begum, till the end of her lifetime. Ghasipura is a census town and an administrative block in the Anandapur Subdivision of Kendujhar District, Odisha, India. It lies on the way from Bhubaneswar to Kendujhar at a distance of 160 km from the former and 80 km from the later. The whole block comprises 179 villages including the village Ghasipura.
