''Bhoopathi Ranga'' is a 1970 Indian Kannada language drama film written and directed by Geethapriya. It stars Rajkumar, Udaya Chandrika and Renuka. The film's story was written and produced by Bhaskar Movies. The future director H. R. Bhargava worked as an associate director in this film. Geethapriya
Lakshman Rao Mohite (15 June 1932 – 17 January 2016), better known by his pen-name Geethapriya ( kn, ಗೀತಪ್ರಿಯ), was an Indian film director and lyricist of the Kannada film industry. He has directed 40 films and penned over 250 songs in Kannada films. In 1992–93, he was awarded the Puttanna Kanagal Award for his contribution to Kannada cinema as a director. Early life Geethapriya was born as Lakshman Rao Mohite in 1931, to Ramarao Mohite and Lakshmibai. His father worked for the cavalry regiment of Mysore State Troops called Mysore Lancers, which was stationed in Bangalore. Even though his mother tongue was Marathi, he was always interested in the Kannada language and was admitted to a Kannada-medium school. The poet P. T. Udaya Chandrika
Udaya Chandrika was an Indian actress of Kannada cinema from the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s. She also appeared in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu-language films. Career Udaya Chandrika began her career with ''Katari Veera'', released in 1966. She played Dr. Rajkumar's sweetheart in that film. Later, she went on to play many roles in Kannada films till her last appearance in ''Udugore'', released in 1979, with Kalyan Kumar. She acted with almost all the stars of her time, like Dr. Rajkumar, Kalyan Kumar, Udaykumar, Rajesh, Vishnuvardhan, Srinath, Rajinikanth, etc. She even worked with Sivaji Ganesan, MGR, Prem Nazir, Krishna in her other language films. Vijaya Bhaskar
Vijaya Bhaskar ( kan, ವಿಜಯಭಾಸ್ಕರ್; 1924–2002) was an Indian music director and composer who composed music for several mainstream and experimental feature films in the Kannada film industry. Scoring music for over 600 feature films, Bhaskar worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Tulu and Konkani language films as well. He was a part of all of popular Kannada film director KSL Swamy's (Ravi) movies and was also known for his association with acclaimed directors Puttanna Kanagal and Adoor Gopalakrishnan. Influenced by R C Boral and Mukul Mehta, Bhaskar developed his own style of music and introduced the concept of theme music in Kannada film industry. He is credited for inspiring producers to select popular works of Kannada poets through his music.
