Bhoomika
Bhumika Chawla (born Rachna Chawla; 21 August 1978) is an Indian actress and former model known for her work predominantly in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi films. She began her acting career with the Telugu film ''Yuvakudu'' (2000) and then seen in '' Kushi'' for which she won Filmfare Award for Best Actress - Telugu. Chawla is the recipient of one Filmfare Awards South, and SIIMA Award. She made her debut in Hindi Cinema with the romantic tragedy film ''Tere Naam'' (2003) which was huge critical and commercial success and earned her Zee Cine Award Best Female Debut. Chawla then subsequently appeared in several successful films including ''Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa'' (2004), ''Anasuya'' (2007) and ''Middle Class Abbayi'' (2017). Tere Naam
''Tere Naam'' () is a 2003 Indian Hindi-language romantic tragedy film directed by Satish Kaushik. Written by Bala and Jainendra Jain, the film stars Salman Khan and Bhumika Chawla in her Hindi film debut. It is a remake of Bala's own Tamil film '' Sethu'' (1999) which was starred by Vikram. The film was based on a real-life incident of a friend of Bala's, who had fallen in love, lost his mind and ended up at a mental asylum. ''Tere Naam'' was released on 15 August 2003 and became a moderate box-office success, although its soundtrack album was a blockbuster. Khan was praised for his portrayal of Radhe Mohan and the role is widely considered to be his best performance till date. She is a young, passionate journalist who joins NTV as a reporter. She lives along with an old house owner, Joseph in the city.
