Bhawani Bhikshu
Nohor Ram Gupta, professionally known as Bhawani Bhikshu ( ne, भवानी भिक्षु) was a Nepali writer, poet, literary journalist, academic and novelist. He has written multiple novels and short stories. ''Aagat'', a novel published in 1975 is one of his best known books. He is also known for his funny story Early life and education He was born as Nohor Ram Gupta on 3 June 1914 ( Jestha 21, 1966 BS) in Taulihawa, Kapilvastu, Nepal to mother Yashoda Devi Kalwar Gupta and father Indra Prasad Gupta. At the age of 4, he suffered from smallpox. His parents prayed to goddess Durga for his wellbeing. After he recovered, they changed his name to Bhawani in honour of the goddess. After completing his education till fourth grade in a language school in his village, he was sent to his maternal house in India. Taulihawa, Kapilvastu
Kapilvastu (also known by name of Taulihawa) is a municipality and administrative center of Kapilvastu District in Lumbini Province of southern Nepal. The municipality is located roughly to the south-west of Lumbini, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of Gautama Buddha. Kapilvastu Municipality was established in 1982 with the name of Taulihawa Nagarpanchayat merging Baragdawa, Maalpara, Pipari, Kapilvastu Adarsh Gaau and some portion of Tilaurakot, Gotihawa and Gobari Gaunpanchayat. Later on 7 November 2014 remaining region of Gotihawa and Tilaurakot VDC were included making total 19 wards within this Municipality. Madan Mani Dixit (February 17, 1923 – August 15, 2019) was a Nepalese writer, journalist and novelist. His novel ''Madhabi'' is considered a classic in Nepali literature. He received the prestigious Madan Puraskar and Sajha Puraskar for the novel. Early life and education He was born on February 17, 1923 in Kathmandu. He grew up in one of the most powerful families in Kathmandu. Madan Mani's father and grandfather held diplomatic positions during the rule of the Ranas. Madan Mani studied, from the age of eight, religious literature such as the Ramayana in Sanskrit. He was educated at Banaras Hindu University in India.
