Hyderabad Cricket Team
The Hyderabad cricket team is a domestic cricket team based in the city of Hyderabad, Telangana, run by the Hyderabad Cricket Association. It is part of the Ranji Trophy Elite Group and has seen scattered success over its many years in the Ranji Trophy circuit. Over its long history in the Ranji Trophy it has won twice and come runner up three times and has made one appearance in the Irani Trophy. Competition history Hyderabad was the third team in the history of the Ranji Trophy to win the tournament, when it did so in the 1937/38 tournament, beating defending champions Nawanagar in a nailbiting one wicket victory. However, it wouldn't be until 1943 that it would appear in another final and this time, it was thrashed comprehensively by a strong Baroda. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. The Delhi cricket team is a first-class cricket team based in Delhi, run by the Delhi District Cricket Association, that plays in India's first class competition, the Ranji Trophy and limited-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. They have won the Ranji Trophy seven times and have been runners-up eight. Their latest title in 2007-08 came after a long wait of 16 years. 2022–23 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was the fifteenth edition of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, a Twenty20 competition that is played in India. It started on 11 October 2022 and the final was held on 5 November 2022. The tournament was a part of the 2022–23 Indian domestic cricket season, which was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in August 2022. Tamil Nadu were the defending champions. The tournament was divided into five groups, with eight teams in Groups A, B, and C, and seven teams in Groups D and E. Himachal Pradesh Cricket Team
The Himachal Pradesh cricket team is a domestic cricket team based in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It has competed in the Ranji Trophy since the 1985–86 season. They have won their first ever domestic trophy, by winning the 2021–22 edition of Vijay Hazare Trophy. 2022–23 Vijay Hazare Trophy
The 2022–23 Vijay Hazare Trophy was the 21st season of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, a List A cricket tournament in India. It was played from 12 November to 2 December 2022. Himachal Pradesh were the defending champions. Saurashtra won the final match against Maharashtra by 5 wickets to clinch their second domestic title. A total of 38 teams featured in five Elite groups. The group toppers progressed to the quarterfinals, while the second-placed sides and the best among the rest advanced to the pre-quarterfinals.
