''Bhavatharana'' ( si, භවතරණ) is a 2015 Sri Lankan Sinhala historical drama film directed by Devinda Kongahage as his film directorial debut. The film is co-produced by Mawathagama S. Rajaputra Weerasinghe with Shirani Keppetipola for Castoria Films and Rajaputhra Productions. It stars Malini Fonseka and newcomer Sajeew Rajaputra in lead roles whereas Sriyantha Mendis, Mahendra Perera, Udayanthi Kulatunga, Roshan Pilapitiya, Roshan Ravindra, and Chandika Nanayakkara made supportive roles. Wanniarachchige Malini Senehelatha Fonseka, popularly as Malini Fonseka ( Sinhala:මාලිනී ෆොන්සේකා) (born 30 April 1947, in Kelaniya) is an actress in Sri Lankan cinema, theatre and television as well as a director. Often considered as the "Queen of Sinhalese cinema", Fonseka first became widely known when she won the 'Best Actress Award' at the 1969 National State Drama Festival. This was followed by Sarasaviya Best Actress Awards for ''Hingana Kolla'' in 1980, ''Aradhana'' in 1982 and ''Yasa Isuru'' in 1983. Roshan Pilapitiya Abhayasinghe (born 21 March 1975: si, රොෂාන් පිලපිටිය), is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, theatre and television as well as a singer. Largely active in television serials, Pilapitiya was awarded the most popular actor award at Sumathi Tele Awards in 2003 and 2004.
