Star Jalsha
Star Jalsha is an Indian Bengali language general entertainment pay television channel owned by Disney Star (formerly ''Star India''), a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company India. It broadcasts Bengali-language programming, such as Soap opera, family dramas, comedies, reality shows, crime shows and telefilms. It launched its own High-definition television, HD feed on 14 April 2016. According to Broadcast Audience Research Council, BARC, Star Jalsha is the most-watched television channel in West Bengal. History Star Jalsha was officially launched on 8 September 2008 and was also available on www.startv.in. This was Star India's second Bengali-language television channel after ABP Ananda, Star Ananda. In 2011, it was launched on the OSN platform in the Middle East. On 17 June 2012, during a special event Chalo Paltai, it rebranded with a new diamond star logo and graphics for the first time since its launch. ''Agnijal'' is a Bengali period romantic drama that was premiered on November 21, 2016, and aired on Star Jalsha. It was produced by Shree Venkatesh Films. It starred Rohit Samanta and Tumpa Ghosh in lead roles and Sudip Mukherjee as antagonist. ''Bhaggolokkhi'' is an Indian Bengali language television series produced under the banner of Shashi Mittal and Sumeet Hukamchand Mittal of Shashi Sumeet Productions. It aired from 31 August 2020 to 21 March 2021 on Star Jalsha. It is a remake of Star Vijay's Tamil series ''Pandian Stores''. The series starred Rahul Majumder and Sharly Modak. It was the production of Ideas Creations and the concept was initialized by Prosenjit Chatterjee. ''Khokababu'' is a Bengali television soap opera that premiered on May 9, 2016, and aired on Star Jalsha. Produced by Snehasish Chakraborty, it stars Pratik Sen and Trina Saha in lead role.
