Bhanwarkuan is a sub-urban locality of Indore, India. History The area has historically been home to the Takshashila Campus of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, ever since its inception in 1956. Also, the Holkar Science College has had its academic campus in Bhanwarkuan for over a century. Geography A lot of motels, hotels and housing society are blooming up here. There are more than 15 sectors which houses more than 5000 houses. A lot of the residential areas are occupied by students who study at various colleges on a rented basis. There is a presence of the Residential Campus of DAVV and Holkar Science College. Devi Ahilya University (informally abbreviated DAVV), formerly Indore University, is a State University. It was named after 'Ahilya Bai Holkar', the 18th century Queen and ruler of Indore, which was part of the Hindu Maratha Empire. Its jurisdiction was initially restricted to Indore city. Saifee Nagar railway station (station code: SFNR) is a local railway station in Nandanvan Colony, Indore. Station on the Delhi–Hyderabad metre-gauge line that was founded in the 1970s. Saifee Nagar has been connected to Indore and Khandwa by metre-gauge railway lines. National Highway 52 (NH 52), Sangrur, Punjab to Ankola, Karnataka, is a National Highway in India. The national highway 52 was numbered after amalgamating many existing national highways of India.
