Bhanga Junction Railway Station
Bhanga Junction Railway Station is a junction station of Bangladesh. It is a junction which is being built in Bhanga Upazila, Bhanga. It will connect Dhaka with Jessore, Rajbari District, Rajbari and Port of Payra through Padma Bridge. Its construction is likely to be end in June 2023. History Padma Bridge Rail Link Project brings South and South Western regions of Bangladesh under the railway network. In the first phase, a 172 km broad gauge railway line is being constructed from Dhaka's Kamalapur railway station, Kamalapur to Jessore railway station, Jessore in the southwestern district. The rail link project is scheduled to be completed in 2024. From December 2022, trains have been running on the 51 km railway from the stations of Mawa railway station, Mawa to Bhanga. Construction of Rajbari–Bhanga line from the existing Bhanga railway station to the area further east made the new station a junction station. Payra Port
The Port of Payra is a seaport located at Kalapara in Patuakhali, Bangladesh. It was established by an Act of Parliament in 2013. The port was officially inaugurated in 2016. It is located on the Ramnabad Channel near the Bay of Bengal. The port is undergoing expansion and the project is expected to be completed in 2021. Background Payra port was originally planned as China's bid for another deep seaport in its String of Pearls strategy. The construction of the port, which was being financed on a public-private partnership (PPP) platform, was therefore granted to a Chinese company.
