Bhabani Prasad Singha
Bhabani Prasad Singha (born 8 August 1953) is a Bangladeshi justice of the High Court Division. He was appointed in 2010. Early life Singha was born on 8 August 1953 in Sylhet Sylhet ( bn, সিলেট) is a metropolitan city in northeastern Bangladesh. It is the administrative seat of the Sylhet Division. Career Singha joined the district court as an advocate on 3 March 1979. On 4 April 1983, Singha was appointed a district munsif. Singha became a district and sessions judge on 24 February 2000. On 12 December 2010, Singha was appointed to the High Court Division of the Supreme Court. He became a permanent judge of the High Court Division 12 December 2012. The High Court Division, Supreme Court of Bangladesh ( bn, হাইকোর্ট ডিভিশন) popularly known as the 'High Court' is one of the two divisions of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, the other division being the Appellate Division. Premier University ( bn, প্রিমিয়ার বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়), also known as PU, is a private university in Chittagong, Bangladesh. It was established in 2002. History The ex-mayor of Chittagong City Corporation, ABM Mohiuddin Chowdhury, conceived the idea of establishing a center of excellence for higher education and learning in Chittagong and initiated a needs assessment in 1998. A project proposal for Premier University was submitted to the Ministry of Education of Bangladesh in May 2001.
