''Bezubaan'' () is a 1982 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Bapu (director), Bapu and produced by Pranlal Mehta. The film stars Shashi Kapoor, Reena Roy, Raj Kiran (actor), Raj Kiran and Naseeruddin Shah. It is a remake of the Tamil film ''Mayangukiral Oru Maadhu''. The film was a box office failure. Plot This is the story of a girl named Kalpana (Reena Roy), who stays in the women's hostel. She soon falls into wrong ways. She meets Raman and falls in love with him. She becomes pregnant and tries to commit suicide, but fails. Her roommate, Revati (Reeta Bhaduri), helps her out from this frustration. After some days, Kalpana marries Kumar (Shashi Kapoor), while Revati marries Shivnath (Naseruddin Shah). Kumar is a rich industrialist, whereas Shivnath is a struggling photographer. Sattiraju Lakshminarayana (15 December 1933 – 31 August 2014), known professionally as Bapu, was an Indian film director, painter, illustrator, cartoonist, screenwriter, music artist, and designer known for his works in Telugu and Hindi cinema. Reena Roy (born Saira Ali; 7 January 1957), is an Indian actress. At the age of 15, she made her film debut with the drama ''Zaroorat'' (1972), but gained wider public recognition with her roles in the romantic comedy ''Jaise Ko Taisa'' (1973) and the romance-action film '' Zakhmee'' (1975). Sayedna Iftekhar Ahmed Sharif (22 February 1924 – 4 March 1995), often mononymously credited as Iftekhar, was an Indian actor who mainly worked in Hindi cinema. He is known for his role as a police officer. Career Iftekhar was born in Jalandhar and was the eldest among four brothers and a sister. After completing his matriculation, Iftekhar did a diploma course in painting from Lucknow College Of Arts. Vijay Patil (16 September 1942 – 22 May 2021) better known as Raamlaxman, was an Indian composer, pianist, musician and accordionist.
