Beytollah Abdollahi
Beytollah Abdollahi ( fa, بیت‌الله عبداللهی) is an Iranian reformist politician who is currently representative of Ahar and Heris in the Parliament of Iran. He started his career at the Literacy Movement Organization, and was governor of East Azerbaijan Province territories including Heris County, Sarab County, Shabestar County and Marand County. 2016 election In 2016 Iranian legislative election, Abdollahi defeated rivals in Ahar and Heris district in a two-rounds race. On 19 May 2016, the Guardian Council declared that the second round elections is voided due to "unlawful interventions" and the representative would be elected in a by-election. The Islamic Consultative Assembly ( fa, مجلس شورای اسلامی, Majles-e Showrā-ye Eslāmī), also called the Iranian Parliament, the Iranian Majles (Arabicised spelling Majlis) or ICA, is the national legislative body of Iran. The Parliament currently consists of 290 representatives, an increase from the previous 272 seats since the 18 February 2000 election. The most recent election took place on 21 February 2020 and the new parliament convened on 28 May 2020. Pervasive Coalition of Reformists: The Second Step ( fa, ائتلاف فراگير اصلاح‌طلبان: گام دوم), named The List of Hope ( fa, لیست امید) by Mohammad Khatami, was the sole coalition and electoral list affiliated with the Iranian reform movement for the 2016 legislative election. The group also endorsed candidates for the 2016 Assembly of Experts election. Reformists backed a list of 236 candidates for the Parliament and 77 for the Assembly of Experts, even though many of them are not reformists but moderate-leaning figures. He was formerly a member of city council of Port Lengeh. 2016 election In 2016 Iranian legislative election, Zamzamnejad defeated incumbent Ahmad Jabbari in Lengeh, Bastak and Parsian counties in a two-rounds race. Minoo Khaleghi ( fa, مینو خالقی) is an Iranian jurist and reformist activist. In the 2016 parliamentary elections, Khaleghi won a seat, however she was disqualified by the Guardian Council after the election. Background Khaleghi was born in 1985, in Isfahan. She comes from a well-known family, whose uncle – Nasser Khaleghi– served in the Cabinet of President Mohammad Khatami. A graduate of University of Isfahan and Allameh Tabataba'i University in Law, she is now a PhD Candidate at Islamic Azad University's Isfahan Science and Research Branch.
