Beyond The Law (1968 Italian Film)
''Beyond the Law'' ( it, Al di là della legge) is a 1968 Spaghetti Western film directed by Giorgio Stegani and starring Lee Van Cleef as Cudlip, Antonio Sabàto Sr. as Ben Novack and Gordon Mitchell as Burton. It was first distributed in the United States in 1971. Synopsis After robbing a stagecoach, the bandit Billy Joe Cudlip (Lee Van Cleef) becomes the friend of Czech immigrant Ben Novack, an honest engineer working for the mine company of Silvertown. Cudlip is determined to "go straight", and after earning the trust of the citizens he is named the new sheriff of Silvertown. But does he really want the job, or just access to the valuable shipments of the town's silver? Giorgio Stegani
Giorgio Stegani (13 October 1928 – 20 February 2020) was an Italian film and television writer, film director and second unit director. Stegani was best known for his western films of the 1960s. He wrote the script for westerns such as ''Un Dollaro bucato'' (1965), directed and wrote ''Adiós gringo'' in 1965 and co-wrote ''Mille dollari sul nero'' (1966). Graziella Granata
Graziella Granata (born 16 March 1941) is an Italian retired film and stage actress. After graduating at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, and after some secondary roles in adventure films and comedies, thanks to a film contract with Angelo Rizzoli film production Graziella Granata from the mid-sixties obtained good roles in films of a certain importance. She worked with, among others, Pasquale Festa Campanile, Massimo Franciosa, Mario Camerini, Luigi Comencini and especially Alessandro Blasetti, who provided her some important roles, including the leading role in the 1967 commedia all'italiana '' La ragazza del bersagliere'', for which she shared a David di Donatello for Best Actress with Silvana Mangano. Enzo Fiermonte (17 July 1908 – 22 March 1993), sometimes credited as William Bird, was an Italian actor and boxer. Early life Vincenzo "Enzo" Fiermonte was born on 17 July 1908 in Casamassima, a rural village near Bari, in southern Italy to Donato and Lucrezia Fiermonte. Career From 1925 to 1934, he was a professional boxer, with a lifetime record of 47 wins (11 by knockout), 17 losses (10 by knockout), and 2 draws. On June 22, 1943, he announced his permanent retirement from boxing. In 1937, he entered his Maserati in the Vanderbilt Cup auto race in Westbury, New York, but was not allowed to participate because he had no formal auto racing experience. Herbert Fux
Herbert Fux (25 March 1927 – 13 March 2007) was an Austrian film actor and politician. He appeared in more than 140 films between 1960 and 2007. Life Fux was born in Hallein, at the age of five he moved with his family to the city of Salzburg, where his stepfather worked as a board member of the Landestheater. Having passed his matura exams under the circumstances of late World War II in 1944, he studied at the Salzburg Mozarteum University and began a career as a theatre actor. Ann Smyrner (3 November 1934 – 29 August 2016) was a Danish actress who was active in the 1960s in Italy, the United States, Austria and West Germany. She played in adventure, comedy, science fiction, crime, and horror movies, among which are the Sidney Pink science fiction movies ''Reptilicus'' and ''Journey to the Seventh Planet'' (both 1962). Ann Smyrner spent most of her screen career in Germany. After she retired from acting in 1971, she moved to Spain because, as she stated in a 2001 interview, "Both the country (Denmark) and its people are too cold and boring." Bud Spencer
Carlo Pedersoli (31 October 1929 – 27 June 2016), known professionally as Bud Spencer, was an Italian actor, professional swimmer and water polo player. He was known for action-comedy and Spaghetti Western roles with his long-time film partner and friend Terence Hill. The duo "garnered world acclaim and attracted millions to theater seats". Spencer and Hill appeared in 18 films together. In his youth, Bud Spencer was a successful athlete and swimmer for the Gruppo Sportivo Fiamme Oro. He obtained a law degree and registered several patents.
