Beyond Gaming, officially Mega Bank Beyond Gaming, is a Taiwanese professional ''League of Legends'' team competing in the Pacific Championship Series, the top-level league for the game in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia. The team was founded by former professional ''League of Legends'' player Xue "Dinter" Hong-wei after he purchased the PCS spot of ahq eSports Club. Beyond Gaming has qualified for the prestigious World Championship twice, in 2021 and 2022. The Pacific Championship Series (PCS) is a professional esports league for ''League of Legends'' players competing in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia ( excluding Vietnam). Its creation was officially announced by Riot Games on 19 December 2019, after Garena, which ran the ''League of Legends'' Master Series (LMS) and ''League of Legends'' SEA Tour (LST), announced in September that it was planning to merge the two leagues. The 2022 PCS season was the third year of the Pacific Championship Series (PCS), a professional esports league for the Multiplayer online battle arena, MOBA PC game ''League of Legends''. The spring split began with the first day of the regular season on 11 February and concluded with the spring finals on 17 April. The summer split began with the first day of the regular season on 1 July and concluded with the summer finals on 4 September. The 2021 PCS season was the second year of the Pacific Championship Series (PCS), a professional esports league for the MOBA PC game ''League of Legends''.
