Beyond Clueless
''Beyond Clueless'' is a 2014 British documentary film about teen movies, directed by Charlie Lyne, narrated by Fairuza Balk and with an original soundtrack by Summer Camp. Summary The film features extracts from over 200 teen movies, with a particular emphasis on those released between 1995 and 2004. Production The film was funded on Kickstarter in January 2013 and edited in Lyne's bedroom. It premiered at SXSW 2014 and went on to play at film festivals including International Film Festival Rotterdam, CPH:DOX and Hot Docs. The title cards were designed by British artist Hattie Stewart. Charlie Shackleton (formerly Charlie Lyne; born 15 August 1991) is a British filmmaker, multimedia artist, and film critic. He has made several films, including '' Beyond Clueless,'' '' Fear Itself'' and the 2016 protest film '' Paint Drying'' as well as the multimedia performance piece '' As Mine Exactly''. Early life Charlie Shackleton was born on 15 August 1991, at St Mary's Hospital in London, raised by his mother, Jane Shackleton. He details in his piece ''As Mine Exactly'' how their relationship evolved after she developed epilepsy when he was a child. At the time, Shackleton videotaped several of her seizures at the request of her medical team. Career Shackleton established the movie blog Ultra Culture in 2008, at the age of 16. In 2010, Shackleton joined the BBC programme ''Film 2010'', after being approached by host Claudia Winkleman on Twitter. Shackleton left the show after one season. ''All I Wanna Do'' (originally titled ''The Hairy Bird'') is a 1998 American comedy film written and directed by Sarah Kernochan. It stars Kirsten Dunst, Gaby Hoffmann, Monica Keena, Heather Matarazzo and Rachael Leigh Cook in an ensemble cast as students of the fictional Miss Godard's Preparatory School for Girls, and Lynn Redgrave as the school's headmistress. The film takes place in 1963 and focuses on several students' plotting and sabotage of a proposed merger for the school to go coed. Originally titled ''The Hairy Bird'', the film's screenplay, set in 1963, is based loosely on Kernochan's experiences at Rosemary Hall around that time. A band camp typically refers to a high school, college, or university marching band summer camp. Band camp is often mandatory for members of the band and constitutes the majority of the preparation a marching band makes before its marching season (learning how to march, learning "sets" on the field, memorizing show songs).
