Beykoz 1908 SKD or commonly Beykoz 1908 is a sports club of Istanbul's historic Anatolian part district Beykoz, which was founded in 1908. Its colours are yellow and black. The club was founded as Mümeresat-i Bedenye Şubesi, and was renamed Beykoz Şark İdman Yurdu in 1911. In the year 1921 it merged with Beykoz Zindeler İdman Yurdu and took its current name. The club's football team returned to the TFF Second League after 17 years, at the end of the 2007 – 2008 season. The club's basketball team TTNet Beykoz competed in the Turkish Basketball League. TFF 3. Lig (Turkish Football Federation Third League) is the fourth level in the Turkish football league system. Beykoz Spor Kulübü Derneği, today known for sponsorship reasons as TTNet Beykoz, is a Turkish sports club based in Beykoz, Istanbul. Their home arena is Beykoz Sport Hall. Beykoz was founded in 1908. Team colours are black and yellow. The Beykoz football team played in the Turkish First League for eight seasons. The team played in the Third League as Beykozspor 1908 AŞ, which is the fourth level of Turkish football, and were promoted to the Second League in the 2007–08 season as champions. Turkish Regional Amateur League
The Turkish Regional Amateur League ( tr, Bölgesel Amatör Ligi) is the fifth tier of the Turkish football league system. The tier comprises a number (usually 11-13, varies by season) of groups across Turkey, each consisting of teams grouped according to the regions in which they are based. Every season, 9 teams are promoted to the TFF Third League while the bottom two teams of each group are relegated to the Super Amateur Leagues of their respective provinces. League status Turkish Regional Amateur League contains 149 teams which participate in eleven groups. 1 of these groups contains 12 teams, 3 of these groups contain 13 teams and the remaining 7 groups contain 14 teams. The TFF 1. Lig, officially known as Spor Toto 1. Lig for sponsorship reasons, is the second level of the Turkish football league system. The league was founded in 2001 as the ''Turkish Second League Category A'' after the reorganization of the Second Football League, which was the second level of the Turkish league system between 1963 and 2001. The league was called ''Türk Telekom Lig A'' in the 2006–2007 season, and was renamed to ''TFF First League'' prior to the 2007–08 season. As of 16 January 2008 the league was renamed as Bank Asya 1. Beykoz Stadı
Beykoz (), also known as Beicos and Beikos, is a district in Istanbul, Turkey at the northern end of the Bosphorus on the Anatolian side. The name is believed to be a combination of the words bey and ''kos'', which means "village" in Farsi. Beykoz includes an area from the streams of Küçüksu and Göksu (just before Anadoluhisarı) to the opening of the Bosphorus into the Black Sea, and the villages in the hinterland as far as the Riva creek. The mayor is Murat Aydın ( AKP). History The mouth of the Bosphorus in ancient times was used as a place of sacrifice, specifically to petition Zeus and Poseidon for a safe journey across the Black Sea, without which no one would venture into those stormy waters.
