Beverly Marshall
Beverly Marshall (also Robinson) is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours''. Upon her introduction on 6 July 1987, the character was played by Lisa Armytage. Following Armytage's decision to quit the role in 1988, producers chose to recast the role to Shaunna O'Grady. O'Grady relocated from Sydney to Melbourne for filming and her first scenes as Beverly aired on 16 March 1989. Beverly took on the role of the serial's local GP, and became a love interest for established regular Jim Robinson (Alan Dale). After a bad start, Beverly and Jim realise that they have many shared interests and they eventually marry. However, their marriage falls apart due to Beverly's desire to have a child of her own. Producers decided not to renew O'Grady's contract and Beverly departed on 5 September 1990. O'Grady reprised the role in 2005, along with several former cast members for a cameo appearance in the serial's 20th anniversary episode "Friends for Twenty Years". She ... Anne Haddy
Anne Haddy (5 October 1930 – 6 June 1999), credited also as Anne Hardy, was an Australian actress, television presenter and voice artist, who worked in various facets of the industry including radio, stage and television. She was married to actor and scriptwriter James Condon. Haddy appeared in numerous television films early in her career, but was better known for her television soap opera/serials roles, starting with numerous roles in ''Crawford Production'' serials, she had a stint in cult series ''Prisoner'', as Alice Hemmings and a permanent role in '' Sons and Daughters'' as Rosie Andrews. She was best known however for her long-running role in the soap ''Neighbours'' as matriarch Helen Daniels, spanning twelve years and some 1,661 episodes. Helen Daniels
Helen Daniels is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'', portrayed by Anne Haddy. Following the death of Jim Robinson (Alan Dale) in 1993, she remained the only original character played continuously by the same actor until her own death in 1997, making her the second longest-serving original character after her grandson Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis). Creation and casting Helen is one of the twelve original characters conceived by the creator and then executive producer of ''Neighbours'', Reg Watson. Oram 1988, p.116. Watson invited Haddy to play Helen in a bid to portray a mother-in-law out of conjunction with the battleaxe stereotype. Erinsborough
Erinsborough is the fictional suburb where the Australian soap opera ''Neighbours'' is set. The show focuses on the domestic and professional lives of the people who live and work in the suburb. ''Neighbours'' storylines primarily centre on the residents of Ramsay Street within other Erinsborough locations, namely The Waterhole, Harold's Café, Lassiters Hotel, Erinsborough High School and Erinsborough Hospital. Erinsborough was originally going to be named Erinsfield, which is a loose anagram of ''Neighbours''. Throughout much of the show's run it was not stated in which city of Australia Erinsborough was located. The rivalry between Sydney and Melbourne meant that scripts did not mention that Erinsborough was a suburb of the latter city until 1994. Anne Scott-Pendlebury (also known as Anne Pendlebury) is an Australian television, film and theatre actress. She played the role of Hilary Robinson in the soap opera '' Neighbours''. Hilary Robinson
Hilary Robinson is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera '' Neighbours'', played by Anne Scott-Pendlebury. The character first appeared on-screen during the episode broadcast on 25 June 1987. Hilary departed the show on 28 February 1990, following Scott-Pendlebury's decision to quit in 1989. Scott-Pendlebury reprised her role in 2005 for the serial's 20th anniversary episode, and again in February 2015 ahead of the 30th anniversary. Writers established that Hilary is back living in Erinsborough, so she can continue to make sporadic appearances.
