Kala Keerthi Vimukthi Jayasundara ( si, විමුක්ති ජයසුන්දර) is a Sri Lankan filmmaker, critic and a visual artist. Jayasundara is the first Sri Lankan to win the Caméra d'Or, in 2005. Life and career Vimukthi Jayasundara was born in Ratnapura, Sri Lanka but comes from Galle. He attended Mahinda College, and the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune. Thusitha Laknath Galindawattha (born September 7, 1983), is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, theater and television. He played Rane in the television serial '' Deveni Inima''. Early life Thusitha Laknath was born on 7 September 1983 in Sri Lanka. He completed education from Koswatta Jayawardena Vidyalaya and Ananda College, Colombo. Career After finishing school times, he started his theatre education at Tower Hall Theatre Foundation. Thusitha was first involved in stage drama, with ''Fontamarawa'' in 2000. He continued with ''The Doll's House'' in 2002. Philippe Avril (1654 – 1698 (presumed)) was a Jesuit explorer of the Far East. He was born at Angoulême, France on 16 September 1654. Avril was a professor of philosophy and mathematics at Paris when he was dispatched to the Jesuit missions of China. Following the instructions of Ferdinand Verbiest, another Jesuit, then at Peking, he attempted an overland journey, and traveled for six years through Kurdistan, Armenia, Astrakhan, Persia, and other countries of eastern Asia. Arriving at Moscow, Avril was refused permission to pass through Tatary, and was sent by the Government to Poland, whence he made his way to Istanbul and from there went back to France.
