Betty Ann Bjerkreim Nilsen
Betty Ann Bjerkreim Nilsen (born 7 September 1986) is a Norwegian orienteering competitor and cross-country skier. She was a junior World Champion in both sports. At senior level she has won a gold medal in relay at the World Orienteering Championships. Orienteering Bjerkreim Nilsen won a gold medal in the relay at the 2005 Junior World Orienteering Championships. In 2006, she received an individual gold medal in the middle distance, and a silver medal in the short course. She participated in the 2007 World Cup, where her best single result was a fifth in the sprint distance at O-Ringen. At the 2009 World Orienteering Championships in Miskolc she won a gold medal in the relay, together with Anne Margrethe Hausken and Marianne Andersen Marianne Andersen (born 26 March 1980 in Drammen) is a Norwegian orienteering competitor. Kristiansand is a seaside resort city and municipality in Agder county, Norway. La Clusaz (; frp, La Klyuza, ) is a commune in the Haute-Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in south-eastern France. Overview It is a ski resort in the Alps near the Swiss border. 2007–08 FIS Cross-Country World Cup
The 2007–08 FIS Cross-Country World Cup was a multi-race tournament over the season for cross-country skiers. It was the 27th official World Cup season in cross-country skiing for men and ladies. The season began on 27 October 2007 with 800m sprint races for women in Düsseldorf, won by Natalia Matveeva of Russia, who took her first World Cup victory. The season concluded with World Cup Finals, a mini-tour held in Bormio, Italy. Finnish skier Virpi Kuitunen won the overall women's cup for the 2nd consecutive season and Lukáš Bauer of Czech Republic won the overall men's cup. The World Cup is organised by the FIS who also run world cups and championships in ski jumping, snowboarding and alpine skiing amongst others. FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007
The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 took place 22 February – 4 March 2007 in Sapporo, Japan. It was the second time this city has hosted these championships, having previously done so in the 1972 Winter Olympics. Sapporo was selected as venue by vote at the 43rd FIS World Congress in Portorož, Slovenia, on 6 June 2002. It also marked the third time the championships were hosted outside Europe in a year that did not coincide with the Winter Olympics; it was the first championship held in Asia. The ski jumping team normal hill event was not held, as it had been in 2005.
