Betta Home Living is an Australian independent retail franchise group selling home appliance and furniture. It is based in the Brisbane suburb of Eagle Farm and has stores across Australia. It is owned by the BSR Group. History In 1959, three local independent electrical retailers (Crystal Radio at East Brisbane, Hess & Ferguson at Wynnum and Laings Electrical at Red Hill) came together to combat rival electrical retail groups and formed the Brisbane Electrical Television Traders Association (BETTA). In 1961, by which time, there were seven independent members, the association was incorporated to form Betta Stores Pty Ltd. By 1964, when there were over 50 members Betta Stores Pty Ltd became a public company (Betta Stores Ltd), a business that serviced both Betta Electrical branded and non-branded independent retailers throughout the 1990s. Briggs Motor Sport was an Australian motor racing team which has represented Queensland based businessman John Briggs in motor racing. The team has competed in Sports Sedans, Australian GT, Formula Holden, and most notably as a touring car team competing in the V8 Supercar Championship Series. The team last competed in historic motor racing and the Australian GT Championship but was folded at the end of the 2009 season. Paul Weel Racing was an Australian motor racing team which competed in the V8 Supercars Championship Series between 1998 and 2008. Ford Years After some brief appearances in 1997 in minor events, Paul Weel Racing debuted in the 1998 Australian Touring Car Championship with Paul Weel driving an ex-Longhurst Racing constructed Ford EL Falcon. Triple Eight Race Engineering, (branded as Red Bull Ampol Racing) is an Australian motor racing team competing in the Supercars Championship. The team has been the only Brisbane based V8 Supercar team since its formation, originally operating out of the former Briggs Motor Sport workshop in Bowen Hills before moving to Banyo in 2009. John Faulkner Racing (JFR) was an Australian motor racing team that competed in AUSCAR, NASCAR and V8 Supercars racing in the 1990’s and early 2000’s History John Faulkner Racing was formed by former Toyota Team Australia driver John Faulkner in the early 1990s.
