Bethany Lynch
Bethany Lynch (born 19 May 1997) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for Richmond in the AFL Women's competition (AFL). She has previously played for North Melbourne. AFLW career Lynch played for Richmond in the VFL Women's (VFLW) competition before she was rookie listed by North Melbourne for their AFL Women's (AFLW) list following the 2018 AFL Women's draft. She made her debut in a four-point victory over Melbourne in the fourth round of the 2019 season. After playing eight games for the club, she was delisted in June 2021. In December 2021, Lynch joined Richmond's primary AFLW list, after Iilish Ross was placed on the inactive list due to injury. The Richmond Football Club, nicknamed the Tigers, is an Australian rules football team playing in the Australian Football League (AFL). Between its inception in the Melbourne suburb of Richmond in 1885 and 1907, the club competed in the Victorian Football Association (VFA), winning two premierships. Richmond joined the Victorian Football League (now known as the AFL) in 1908 and has since won 13 premierships, most recently in 2020. Richmond's headquarters and training facilities are located at its original home ground, the Punt Road Oval, which sits adjacent to the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), the club's playing home since 1965. North Melbourne Football Club (AFLW) Players
The North Melbourne Football Club, nicknamed the Kangaroos, is a professional Australian rules football club. The men's team competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), and the women's team in the AFL Women's (AFLW). The Kangaroos also field a reserves men's team in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Iilish Ross (born 21 June 1999) is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Richmond Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She previously played 11 matches over two seasons with . AFL Women's career Ross was drafted by Collingwood with their second selection and thirteenth overall in the 2017 AFL Women's draft. She made her debut in the eight point loss to Carlton at Ikon Park in the opening round of the 2018 season. In April 2019 she signed an expansion period contract with Richmond. VFL Women's
VFL Women's (VFLW) is the major state-level women's Australian rules football league in Victoria. The league initially comprised the six premier division clubs and the top four division 1 clubs from the now-defunct Victorian Women's Football League (VWFL), and has since evolved into what is also the second primary competition for AFL Women's (AFLW) clubs in Victoria. The competition has been held concurrently with the AFLW since 2021. Following the 2017 season, the VFL Women's was reconfigured to affiliate teams more closely with AFL clubs.
