Best Days (Carpark North Album)
''Best Days (Greatest & Live)'' is a compilation album by Danish electronic rock band Carpark North. It was released on 1 November 2010 through Copenhagen Records. The first CD contains songs from the band's three studio albums, '' Carpark North'' (2003), '' All Things to All People'' (2005), and '' Grateful'' (2008). In addition, there are two new tracks "Burn It" and "Everything Starts Again", which were released as singles in 2010 and 2011. The second CD is a live album recorded during "Grøn Koncert" in the summer of 2010. Carpark North
Carpark North is a Danish electronic rock band. The band was formed in Aarhus, Denmark on 28 July 1999 by Lau Højen (vocal, guitar), Søren Balsner (bass, synthesisers) and Morten Thorhauge (drums). The name "Carpark North" was created from the electro and rock genres: "Carpark" stands for car parks, edges, roughness, metal – the rock part, and "North" stands for northern lights, stars ethereal electronics. History The foundation for Carpark North was laid at Mellerup Efterskole, where Søren Balsner and Lau Højen met and formed a band. This band played in the national championship in rock in 1997. Søren and Lau split up after Mellerup, and Lau started his education at high school – Aarhus Katedralskole. Here he joined a band – "Spacekraft" and met Morten Thorhauge a young drummer from Søften. ''Lost'' is the first internationally released album by Danish electronic rock band Carpark North. In 2009 Carpark North was contacted by Swedish label "Mr. Radar" who wanted to sign the band through Sony Music worldwide. The band re-recorded songs from their three studio albums, '' Carpark North'' (2003), '' All Things to All People'' (2005) and '' Grateful'' (2008), which resulted in ''the'' ''creation of the super album "Lost"''. ''Phoenix'' is a studio album by Danish electronic rock band Carpark North. It was released in Denmark on 27 January 2014 through Copenhagen Records and Universal Music. Promotion The first single from the album, "Army of Open Arms", was released on 22 April 2013, and debuted on the Danish Singles Chart at number 21. ''Carpark North'' is the debut album by Danish electronic rock band Carpark North. It was released on 10 February 2003. Two songs from the album were previously released: "There's a Place" in 2001 on the airwaves of Danish national radio, and "40 Days" on Carpark North's ''40 Days EP''. All Things To All People
''All Things to All People'' is the second studio album by Danish electronic rock band Carpark North. It was recorded in the early 2005 and released on 25 April 2005 through EMI. The idea behind the album was to "make the rock more hard and the electro more sparkling". Promotion "Human", the first single from the album, was accompanied by a powerful video by Danish director Martin de Thurah, which won several awards: a DMA (Danish Grammy) in 2006 for "Best video of the Year", "Best Music Video" at RESFEST, Los Angeles, a "Grand Prix" at the Festival International des Art du Clip in Provence, and was also exhibited at an art museum in Ontario, Canada. ''Grateful'' is the third studio album by Danish electronic rock band Carpark North, released on 8 September 2008. The album has spawned four singles: "Shall We Be Grateful", "More", "Save Me from Myself" and "Leave My Place". The song "Save Me from Myself" was covered by Brazilian Christian rock band Oficina G3 and Christian musician Michael W. Smith.
