Besos De Perro
Besos de perro is the third studio album by Spanish rock band Marea released on 19 April 2002. With their third label contract signed in as many years, Marea went about recording their third album in February 2002 with producer Iñaki "Uoho" Antón, a guitarist in the bands Extremoduro and Platero y Tú. Besos de Perro was recorded over the course of two months in the home studio of Antón and features numerous contributions from outside musicians, including Roberto Iniesta (aka Robe, of Extremoduro), Fito Cabrales (of Platero y Tú and Fito & Fitipaldis), and Martín Romero (Kutxi's brother). Marea (band)
Marea are a Spanish rock band from Berriozar, Navarre formed in 1997 by Kutxi Romero. The band deals with lyrics influenced by Spanish folklore and literature using archaic terms and expressions. They have released eight studio albums, a collection boxset and a live album. History In 1997, after having been a member of 9 different punk bands, Kutxi Romero decided to form a rock group. He called Alen Ayerdi - former drummer of Begira - who joined Kutxi's project. He then contacted Edu Beaumont "Piñas", whom he had met one year before. Piñas had not previously played in any other band, but Kutxi - who was a very good friend of his - persuaded him to join as bassist. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Hard rock began in the mid-1960s with the garage, psychedelic and blues rock movements. Dro Records
DRO Records (often referred to simply as DRO) was a Spanish independent record label founded in 1982 by members of the band Aviador Dro. It is one of Spain's first independent record labels. During the 1980s DRO was an important label for independent artists in Spain, especially in Madrid. Name DRO is an acronym which stands for ''Discos Radioactivos Organizados'' ( en, Organized Radioactive Records). In the 1990s, the multinational label Eastwest Records acquired DRO. Iñaki Antón
Iñaki Antón González (; August 3, 1964), also known by his stage name Uoho, is a Spanish musician, songwriter and record producer. He was the lead guitarist of Platero y Tú, and now is a member of Extremoduro and his solo project, Inconscientes. Biography Iñaki Antón González was born on August 3, 1964 in Bilbao. He spent his youth at Zabala (Bilbao), where he met his Platero y Tú bandmates. He started with classical music learning piano. At 14 or 15 years old started to listen to classic rock bands such as Deep Purple or Status Quo and at 17 or 18 he learned to play guitar self-taught. He started playing with Juantxu Olano in a band called ''Ke'' and they recorded a four songs demo tape. Extremoduro
Extremoduro () was a Spanish hard rock band from Plasencia, Extremadura. The band is led by Roberto Iniesta, also known as "Robe", who is often referred as "El rey de Extremadura" (The king of Extremadura). The name Extremoduro is a pun on the band's home region in western Spain, Extremadura, and roughly translates as "extremely tough", "rough edge" or, more literally, "hard extreme". The band was created in 1987 and is regarded as one of the most influential bands of the Spanish hard rock scene, besides being a complete symbol for their region. Influenced by the Spanish literature, Iniesta's lyrics are often described as rude street poetry, with frequent allusions to drugs, sex and self-destruction. Platero Y Tú
Platero y Tú () was a Spanish rock and roll and blues rock band formed in Bilbao in the 1980s, and disbanded in 2001. Their lyrics mainly deal about drugs, bar issues and love, and their style, being mainly influenced by bands such as Status Quo, AC/DC and Leño, and guitarists like John Fogerty from Creedence Clearwater Revival, broke with the Basque Radical Rock trend of the moment. History Platero y Tú was formed in Bilbao, in the late 80s. Juantxu and Uoho were the first ones to practice together, after their former band, ''Ke'', broke up. Maguila joined later, as a drummer. Roberto Iniesta Ojea (; born May 16, 1962), also known as Robe; is a Spanish songwriter, singer and guitarist. He was the frontman of the rock band Extremoduro and is currently active as a solo artist. Biography Roberto Iniesta Ojea was born on 16 May 1962 in Plasencia. After having left school with a third class Baccalaureate, he worked with his father. At the age of twenty he began writing songs and he formed his first band, Dosis Letal. In 1987, he formed Extremoduro, the band that brought him fame. They didn't have enough money for recording a studio album so they sold tickets that would be exchanged for the album. When they sold 250 tickets they had earned enough money to afford the recording. In January 1989 they started the recording of their first demo tape. Fito Cabrales
Adolfo "Fito" Cabrales Mato (; born 6 October 1966) is a Spanish musician. Biography Adolfo "Fito" Cabrales was born on 6 October 1966 in the Zabala neighbourhood in Bilbao, and spent part of his childhood and adolescence in Laredo, Cantabria, and Málaga. In his youth he worked as a barman in the brothel his father owned. In these early periods of his musical career he admits to having consumed drugs, although now he declares himself "clean". A Spanish guitarist plays in the original and concert songs in Bilbao. In 1989 Fito joined Iñaki "Uoho" Antón, Juantxu "Mongol" Olano and Jesús "Maguila" García, raised also in Fito's neighborhood, and formed the group Platero y Tú.
