Beskid Dukielski
Beskid Dukielski (Dukla Beskid) is the middle part of the Low Beskids mountain range, lying north of the Dukla Pass and being named after the town of Dukla. The range stretches from the valleys of the Wisłoka and rivers in the west, to the Królik Polski - Daliowa - Czeremcha way in the east. Its boundary to the north is the Nowy Żmigród - Dukla way. Further east, the Jasionka, Krosno County, Jasionka - Lubatowa and Królik Polski way, separates Beskid Dukielski from the . They are composed of sedimentary rocks - mainly sandstone, shales and conglomerates. Landslides are very common. The highest peak is Baranie ("Ram's") (754 m). Low Beskids
The Low Beskids ( sk, Nízke Beskydy) or Central Beskids ( pl, Beskidy Środkowe; cs, Centrální Beskydy; uk, Центральні Бескиди) are a mountain range in southeastern Poland and northeastern Slovakia. They constitute a middle (central) section of the Beskids, within the Outer Eastern Carpathians. Since there are several traditional divisions of the ''Beskid Mountains'' in general, this particular region has also been classified by different designations. In Slovak terminology, the region is called ''Low Beskids'' ( sk, Nízke Beskydy). Dukla Pass
The Dukla Pass ( sk, Dukliansky priesmyk, pl, Przełęcz Dukielska, hu, Duklai-hágó, cz, Dukelský průsmyk; 502 m AMSL) is a strategically significant mountain pass in the Laborec Highlands of the Outer Eastern Carpathians, on the border between Poland and Slovakia ( Lemkivshchyna) and close to the western border of Ukraine. The Dukla Pass is the lowest mountain pass in the Carpathian Mountains main range. Located south of Dukla in Poland and northeast of Prešov in Slovakia, the pass is acknowledged as an area where Eastern and Western Slavic cultures meet. In the 17th century, it was the haunt of a bandit and folk hero, Andrij Savka. Dukla
Dukla is a town and an eponymous municipality in southeastern Poland, in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. As of December 2021, the town has a population of 2,017. The total area of the commune is . Dukla belongs to Lesser Poland, and until the Partitions of Poland it was part of Biecz County, Kraków Voivodeship. Location The town lies on the Jasiołka river, at the foot of the Cergowa mountain (716 meters above sea level), in the Low Beskids. Dukla is located south of Krosno, along European route E371, which goes from Radom to Presov. Nowy Żmigród, until 1946 Żmigród ( yi, זשמיגראד / Zhmigrod, german: Schmiedeburg), is a village and rural municipality ('' gmina'') in Jasło County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, Poland, WNW of Dukla and south of Jasło. History Żmigród received Magdeburg rights during the 14th century. Situated on the commercial roads leading to Red Ruthenia in the east and the Kingdom of Hungary in the south, Żmigród owed its fast growth due to the wine trade, which brought wines to Poland from the Hungarian vineyards. In 1474, during the reign of Casimir IV Jagiellon, Żmigród was plundered and destroyed by the mercenary Black Army of Hungary led by Matthias Corvinus.
